"...yes mom, I get it.....Yea, I know....okay, okay! I have to go now, I love you. Yea, bye." Y/n bid her mother goodbye on her phone before hanging up, placing it on the table and sighing loudly. "Aw, did mommy kiss you goodbye?" Her coworker, Zia questioned teasingly. "Oh shut up, at least my mom still talks to me." Y/n bit back, placing her air pods back in their case. "Well ouch." Zia piped.

"Is this the very first time Zia has been outmatched?" Her other coworker, Franklin smiled widely from behind. Zia narrowed her eyes at the male as Y/n scoffed. "Oh, don't think you're off the hook. Do your parents even know you're working here yet?" Y/n smirked, making the boy's smile drop. He shook his head in shame. "That's a low blow..."

All of a sudden, the cell phone on Zia's desk begins to ring. "Got a customer!" Y/n cheered. "I know.." Zia grumbled before picking the phone up and talking to who ever was on the other line. Y/n and Franklin talked to each other while Zia practically argued with the woman on the other side of the phone.

Just a couple minutes later, the elevator rings and Claire comes walking out with a cup holder of coffees. Making her way to Y/n and Franklin, she gives them two of the coffees with a smile before Zia snaps at her to come over and help with the phone call.

Once Claire grabs the phone and goes somewhere more secluded, Zia sighs desperately. "That was like one minute, you're doing better." Franklin teased as Y/n took a sip of her coffee. "..You gotta stop letting your mom shop for you." "-You don't need to insult me every time someone pisses you off." He scoffed at Zia's comment. "Dude, I'm a doctor. Not a telemarketer." Zia stated. Y/n smiled widely again, looking over at Franklin. "What's your job again? You plug in cords, right?" She teased back, making the boy look away in disbelief. "It's actually more important than it sounds."

Zia smiled at the girl as they gave each other a high five. "He can do that, but you are the one who basically assisted in teaching raptors." Zia commented as Y/n took books out of her bag. "Again, I didn't teach them. I was only there for patrol." Y/n recalled. "Yea, but you quite literally spoke to them; human them! Man, your ass is so lucky.." Zia trailed off as Y/n stared down at her desk in thought of Blue. "Yea, whatever." Y/n mumbled before Zia looked up at the T.V.

"Claire, it's on!" She exclaimed, making everyone look over at the screen. What was read on the bottom was 'Isla Nublar Crisis', and it showed the video of a court room. "After a thorough deliberation, the committee has resolved not to recommend any legislative action regarding the de-extinct creatures on Isla Nublar. This is an act of god, and while of course we can..." Claire clicked the T.V. off as everyone in the room shared a moment of silence.

"They're all gonna die and nobody cares." Claire declared. "We do." Franklin admitted, gesturing to everyone in the room. Claire nodded until her phone began to ring. "All right, everyone back to work." She called out, walking to her desk. Y/n sucked on her teeth as she gazed over the roster of all the dinosaurs left on the island, two certain velociraptors were her main focus. She dreaded thinking about them, every single day. And what made it even worse was now they were going to die; without her help. That's why she had joined Claire in starting the 'Dinosaur help group'. It wasn't a job she wanted to do, but there was no backing out of it.
