Kiera Reed, upcoming superstar, the new it girl, multi Grammy Award winner...or so she wants to be. Realizing that the music industry has little to do with talent and a lot to do with status, Kiera is willing to do it all to give her music the recognition it deserves. Even if that means fake dating the stubborn, inconsiderate and undeniably arrogant football player, Ruben Dias. It is through lies, schemes and hurt that the "couple" comes to know each other. But through passion, love and sacrifice Kiera and Ruben go through lengths to help each other achieve their dreams.

Kiera knew more about football then Odell gave her credit for. Growing up in Birmingham her dad would often take her to see the West Midland derby's. Kiera's brothers' even played for Birmingham City in their college days. So when Odell kept leaning over to explain what was happening on the football field below them, all Kiera could do was nod her head and pretend to listen. She was getting tired anyway and hungry.

As the game came to an end, a surprise 1-1 draw for the home team, Kiera hurried to rise from her seat, leading the way out of the stadium. At least until Odell got a hold of her wrist.

"Hold on, there are some people I want you to meet."

"Baby, I haven't eaten anything since breakfast, can't it wait until tomorrow?"

"No, let's do this now. I'll buy you a burger from one of the stands."

Both Kiera and her manager followed Odell up the stairs, and after getting her a cheeseburger to nibble on he took them to a private seating section of the stadium, a glass balcony overlooking the now empty Etihad Stadium.

"Keira, I want to introduce you to a friend of mine and his— Kiera?."

Busy devouring her cheeseburger, Kiera failed to notice the two approaching men. She raised her head when Irene nudged her arm and instantly began to choke on her meal.

"Fuck, breathe Kiera! Breathe!"

She coughed violently to clear her throat. "Ruben?"

He stood wide eyed before her, an equally shocked expression on his face. "Kiera?"

Heads shifted between them, Odell uttering what everyone was thinking. "You two know each other?"

"What? No?" Kiera painfully swallowed the last of her burger, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. It wasn't very lady-like, but bumping into Ruben yet again really startled her. "I...we've met before." Two times and counting.

"Of course, at the award show." Smiled the man standing next Ruben. He leaped forward, offering Kiera his hand. "Paulo Berro, Ruben's publicist and friend."

"Ehm, hi."

"Irene—" Her manager stepped forward considering that Keira made no notion of introducing her. "Kiera's manager, publicist and assistant."

"All in one, I see." Ruben's manager chuckled.

What followed was a round of introduction and some small talk about the game, something about Ruben's thighs. It wasn't until Kiera cleared her throat that the attention was drawn back to her.

"Right, Kiera!" Odell exclaimed, forgetting about her existence. "The reason I've brought you here is because Paulo and I have been in touch ever since the EMA's where you and Ruben had your little......well, moment on stage."

"Right?" She frowned. "And by moment you mean what exactly?" Odell hadn't seen it live, her moment between Ruben. Fortunately he got lost on his way back to his seat after giving Kiera a quick pep talk, witnessing only the acceptance speech from the winner of the Best New Artist Award. By then Kiera and Ruben stood tucked away in the background, ultimately separating for the remainder of that night. Word got around though, that Kiera had forgotten her lines in the heat of the moment. When Odell asked her about it, Kiera didn't really have the words for what had happened on stage, what Ruben had done, considering she had yet processed the moment herself. However, as he soothed her dreadful tears, Odell made the assumption that Kiera had made a slight fumble of some kind, nothing too career shattering. The opposite really.
