"What? Who? Where? Ugh." I held my head. I thought my head hurt when I saw my mum, but this is hell. Wait. My mum? Oh yeah, heaven, seeing the future, deciding to live. I looked for a window through the dozen or so people in the room.
When I found it I slowly made my way off the bed and over to the window.
"Should he be doing this?" I heard a female voice whisper behind me.
"Shh. After a month and a half he should try and walk." I heard another feminine voice.
When I reached the window I looked up at the sky putting my hand to the window.
"I love you mum." I whispered as I looked up to the sky, and I swear I heard my mother's faint voice say,
"I love you too baby. I always will." I rested my forehead against the window soaking up the sunlight that beamed through the normal London clouds as it shined down on me, and I knew had only been my mother who could have been doing it.
I stood there for a few minutes, basking in the warmth I was feeling, the same feeling I got while hugging my mum. I never wanted to leave it, until I heard the door open, a gasp, and then who I assume was the doctor say,
"I need everyone to clear out of the room for right now, and Mr. Horan you need to come lie down." I could feel the presence of everyone leave, except one, the doctor.
I didn't show any signs that I was moving. I was basking in this warmth that I hadn't felt in six years, and in all honesty, I never wanted to leave it. I don't know why anyone would want to leave the warmth of what felt like their mother's arms. I could feel the sunlight start fading away. I opened my eyes, looking up at the sky to see the clouds take over where the sunlight was once beaming through. I turned around slightly and limped back to the hospital bed.
"You're awake Mr. Horan. We weren't sure if you were going to make it. We started losing you, but it seems as if you didn't want to die."
'You don't know the half of it lady.' I just nodded my head in acknowledgment.
"Okay, so there are quite a few people here to see you, who would you be okay with seeing first?"
"Who all is there? I wasn't exactly paying attention when I walked towards the window, just a lot of faces."
"We have Ms. Dobson, who claimed to be your English teacher. A girl named Eleanor. A man who claims to be your father. Which would be a first since I've never seen your dad even though you have been here countless times in the last 6 years. Um, the two boys who were here while you had caused self harm. There is another group of girls, I didn't quite get all their names, I think there was a Perrie and Danielle, I'm not sure about the last one. Lastly, a group of boys who seem to be friends with the other two boys."
"Can you bring them in, in this order, you might want to write it down." She nodded grabbing a piece of paper.
"Okay. Ms. Dobson, Eleanor, the group of boys friends with Zayn and Liam. Then, The group of girls, Zayn, Liam, and then lastly, my dad." She nodded as she finished writing them down in the order I gave her.
As she started heading for the door I spoke up,
"Wait doctor. This is going to sound like a very different request, but while the others are coming in, do you think you could get someone to do an alcohol test on my dad. He just, tends to drink, and I don't want to talk to him if he's intoxicated."
"Of course." I thanked her as she left. I waited a few minutes before I heard a knock at the door, then Ms. Dobson entered the room and sat in the seat next to the left side of my bed.
