Zach's P.O.V
Everything needs to be perfect. It was Stacy's birthday today and I was planning on making her breakfast in bed. I know that it's not much, but Stacy always pays attention to the little things.
That's not it though, I also got her a little gift on the side. I place the pancakes on a white plate and spray whipped cream on them. I also grab a dish of strawberries. The coffee that was brewing earlier is now done, and I place it in a pink mug with a red heart on it.
The door creaks as I open it, but i'm careful not to scare her. "Hey Stacy..." I whisper trying to wake her up. She groans and turns away. "Oh come on Stace. It's your birthday!" This catches her attention and she sits up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. I don't know why, but she reminds me of a little kitten whenever she just wakes up.
I place the tray on her lap and she smiles up at me. "Aw Zach!" She says as she pulls me into a side hug. Stacy moves over slightly so I can sit next to her. She opens the card I got her that has a big bear on it. He was holding a heart that read 'Happy birthday to the person I love'. It was really sappy and lovey, but Stacy liked that stuff. After she eats her breakfast, (and sharing with me) I push the try to the other side and take Stacy's hand.
I gently lift her to the end of the bed so her legs are dangling off. My hand brushes the bangs off her forehead. I pull the box out of my back pocket and get onto one knee.
Her eyes go huge and a hand goes to her mouth. "Stacy, you have always been there for me. You have cared for me when I was sick, made me smile when i'm sad, and I care about you more than anyone else on the planet. You are my one true love, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" She has tears running down her face and smiles.
"Of course Zach." I Jump up and pull her up into my arms. "I love you." I whisper to her.
