[Trigger warning: mutilation, corpses, and su!c!de]

Olivia watches as Blathers drifts off into a deep sleep, clutching the stuffed owl tightly. A small smile tugs at her lips despite the worries weighing on her mind. She adjusts the blanket over him gently, her heart squeezing at how vulnerable he looks.

Olivia: "Sleep tight, Blathers."

Olivia's breath catches as she notices how skinny Blathers has become. The realization hits her how much stress and malnutrition can do to even an adult owl. She gently runs a feather-light touch across his back, feeling his bones.

Olivia: "Shit... he's been barely surviving out there..."

Now she realized why he was eating so slowly earlier. So he didn't make himself sick from eating to much to fast after not eating for weeks. Her heart aches at the sight of his frail frame. She wants to hug him tightly, but fears hurting him.

Olivia: "No wonder he was eating so cautiously earlier... his poor stomach must've shrunk..." She runs her fingers through his feathers again, carefully. "He needs proper food and rest."

A day or so later Noa returned with Timmy and Tommy Nook, both injured, exhausted, and malnourished, much like Blathers, was/had been. Olivia's heart drops as she sees the state of Timmy and Tommy Nook. They look just as bad as Blathers did when she found him. She quickly gets to work, helping Noa tend to their wounds and preparing a weak broth for them to sip slowly.

Noa: "There were two more people in the Ant nest. I'm, going to go back for them."

Olivia watches Noa prepare to venture back out, her stomach twisting with worry. She rushes to grab a heavy backpack and starts stuffing it with more canteens of broth, bandages, and any lightweight, easy-to-digest snacks she can find.

Olivia: "Wait, take this!"

She hands over the packed backpack, adjusting the straps to fit Noa's shoulders perfectly.

Olivia: "There are five canteens of broth, some dried fruit, and extra bandages. Make sure you drink plenty and take breaks, okay?" Her voice is gentle but firm, showing her concern.

Noa smiled and kissed Olivia's cheek before leaving, running out of the door. Olivia watches Noa disappear into the distance, a worried expression etched onto her face. She sits down by the window, staring out, hoping Noa will return safely with the two remaining survivors. Hours turn into days, and Olivia finds herself pacing restlessly, unable to sit still. On the third day, Noa returned dragging a makeshift sled with two Anthros on it. One Olivia knew very well, Isabelle and the other a weird looking cat that seemed to be half fruit, namely an orange or tangerine. Olivia rushes out to greet Noa, a flood of relief washing over her as she sees her lover returning safely. Her eyes widen in recognition and shock when she spots Isabelle and the peculiar citrus cat.

Olivia: "Isabelle! And...who's this?" She hurriedly helps Noa drag the sled closer.

Noa: "Tangy, her names Tangy."

Olivia raises an eyebrow at the orange-furred cat, a hint of amusement in her expression despite the dire situation.

Olivia: "Tangy, huh? That's...unique."

She sets to work helping Noa lift Isabelle and Tangy off the sled, being extra gentle with the frail Isabelle. After a few days later the four anthros were a lot better than before, though still weak and malnourished. As the days pass, the group begins to recover slowly but surely. Isabelle's eyes regain a bit of their usual sparkle, while Tangy's once droopy tangerine fur starts to look less matted and more vibrant.
