When I lived in West Brooke, I had to do this seeing each other thing several times. It's called seurustelun. My friends took it extremely well. They were relieved that I saved them from the torture. But soon enough, everything went back to normal. They never really talked about what happened. They just carried on with their daily routine. However, for Liam and Mason, they took it a little differently.
"What the hell was that?"
"Who are you?"
"What do you think you're doing?"
"How did you know what to do?"
Liam's mouth was open in shock. He finally let go of my hands, but he remained seated. Mason on the other hand was pacing around the classroom. If Liam was a werewolf, why was he taking this so hard? I know he has seen other supernatural stuff happen before. Why am I such a shock to him? The second period bell has already rang but no one is leaving the classroom. Mason opens his mouth to speak, however I don't want to know what he has to say, so I cut him off.
"Come with me, Liam" I gesture with my hand, but he doesn't get up. However, Mason is right behind me. "You're not coming".
"Why a not?!" He asks. I know Mason isn't supernatural. He looks way to excited. He thinks this is some kind of joke or that it's all fun and games. Or maybe he is just in awe. I can't really blame him. If I was him and I saw some random girl walk into a classroom and magically save someone, I would be a little freaked out too.
"I just need to speak to Liam. Alone. Please." I beg. I do think Mason is a good friend. He didn't run away when he saw Liam acting up. He tried to calm him down. I'm not sure if Liam has told Mason that he is a werewolf or not, but I definitely don't want to do it for him. I try to come up with an excuse but to my surprise, Liam does it for me. He gets up from his seat and puts his hand on Mason's shoulder.
"Sorry man, but right now I think me and her need some time to figure this out. I'll fill you in later". Liam gives Mason a warm smile. He does know.
"Yeah, alright fine. I'll tell Ms. Fleming that you're in the nurses office." He starts to walk out of the classroom, his head down in defeat.
"Thanks bud". Mason waves his hand in a dont-worry-about-it kind of way. Liam and I look at each other again. Apparently we do this, not really talking to each other but somehow we communicate with our eyes.
"So?" He raises his eyebrows at me. I'm assuming that he wants me to explain what happened. I raise my eyebrows back at him.
"Well... I can't tell you right here. There are classrooms right beside us. We need to go to a place where nobody can hear". I start to pace around the room. I'm still not familiar with this school. I'm hoping that Liam will come up with a solution, so I stay quiet and let him think. This takes an insane amount time, until he finally walks toward the door.
"Follow me". He makes his way down the silent hallways. I don't say anything while we are walking. I don't want to make things more tense. We go down a couple flights of stairs until we are facing the boys locker room.
"Here?" I nervously scratch the back of my head. Liam proceeds into the locker room, holding the door open for me. He closes the door behind him, having no concern about the amount of noise he is making. I open my eyes wide and bite my lip.
"Don't worry, it's second period on the first day of school. Everyone is in class". Except for us. I like the idea of just Liam and I skipping class together. I felt so badass. When it comes to school, my father always expects the best from me. He wants me to be just like him one day - successful, smart, and normal. I can do two out of the three.
