What is life
It's nothing but an illusion
We're not living
We're surviving
What is time
It's nothing but an illusion
Sometimes it's fast
Other times it's slow
What is love
It's nothing but an illusion
'Together' is just a word
'Forever' will tear them apart
What is fear
It's nothing but an illusion
It's a nightmare come true
Yet others may not recognize it
If everything is an illusion
Then am I an illusion
Aren't all the things I crave
Just an illusion
The earth is round
But perhaps that's an illusion
When I look at myself in the mirror
Do I really see myself
Say, if I was an illusion
Would I be an enemy to myself
After all, I despise illusions
Therefore I should be an illusion
Illusional is the world I live in
Illusional is the body I live in
Illusion is my enemy
I have only my mind to rely on
Then why are the shards of my mirror
Scattered all over the floor
Why would I attack an illusion
Is it because I'm an illusion too
