It seems like the dinner had been something that lani had agreed to attend as she wished to do this for her sibling and be civil towards her parents as well, but it seems like the offer that Jake had given her about having someone come might have become something more in the end. Kxee and Tsireyo will be going as lani guests for dinner, and it might seem like their parents might be there as well, so the dinner could either go well or be horrible. At the moment, it looks like everything is going well for the group, as Lani is not the only one who seems to have a close relationship with others here.

Neteyam " sister"

Lani "Yes, brother"

Neteyam "Do you think our parents have made plans for us to have mates? Are you already seeing how some of us are coming close to age for that?"

Lani:" For you and Kiri, yes, but for me, no. Dad might have difficulty finding someone within our clan willing to have me as a mate."

Neteyam " ......."

Lani: "We don't have to mate with anyone the h wish for neteyam, seeing how mom was supposed to mate with uncle Tustey and we all know how that changed ... they can't say anything about anyone we chose to love without being hypocrites themselves."

Neteyam: "You are right about that, but I know of two Navi who will wish to be your mate in the future."

Lani: "You speak of kxee and tsireyo."

Neteyam: "Yes, at first I thought I had to be worried about that, but seeing how they both had gotten in Dad's face when it came to standing up for you, I like them both."

Lani: "Thank you. I know I also like them."

Neteyam: " That is wonderful, baby sister. I'm so happy for you."

Lani "Thank you, so what if you and Ao'nung don't lie? I can see with my own eyes."

Neteyam: "I love him, but I'm scared of what everyone else will think. We are the future leaders of our clans. We are supposed to marry someone who will become the clan tshaik and have a family with us at the end."

Neteyam: " I also can't forget that my sisters have the right to become tshaik."

Lani "You can still be with him, brother. You shouldn't allow all the other olo'eythans to challenge you or Ao'nung when the time comes ... if I'm honest, we need some change as the year comes and goes. Everything changes around us." neteyam looked at his little sister, seeing how much she had changed. The girl he once knew was now becoming her person, standing up to others who spoke down to her and doing things her way. She was no longer trying to please their parents and everyone else just to be seen anymore. She was living her life for herself.

Neteyam " I might already be speaking future tshaik or leader right now."

Lani " I have heard those words from many before neteyam, and it makes me feel good that others know that I could be a good leader."

Neteyam "You will be a great leader, my sister." The two siblings soon smiled and laughed as neteyam wrapped his arms around lani shoulder.

Neteyam " I can't believe we are growing up so fast."

Lani "We are growing up, neteyam, but we still have time to be kids."

Neteyam "So you still seeing payakan."

Lani "Yes, even when everyone else is against it, he is my friend and saved me from what happened that day."

Neteyam " good"

???? "My daughter, you shall not speak with me in that tone," the two teens stopped dead in their tracks as they heard their grandmother's voice. It was easy to tell she was having another talk with Neytiri.

Neytiri " I'm speaking my mind, Mother, and I shall not have you going behind my back trying to raise my daughter."

Moat " I'm her grandmother. I'm there for her when she needs support and love from adults that she has lacked from her parents."

Neytiri: " I have given Lani enough love and support, Mother. You always find something to blame me for and criticize."

Moat: "My daughter, I'm just telling you to open your eyes and be there for her. Lani is your daughter. See her for once before it is too late."

Moat " You and Jake need to see Lani and your children as individuals and see what they wish for their futures and who they might love as well... look at them and see what they are now, get to know them better than you think you and Jake know them as"

Moat "That love you and Jake have is great and beautiful. It reminds me of the one I had for your Father. Please, my daughter, listen to me."

Neytiri " I should be taking parenting advice from your mother and love as well." It felt like time had stopped after Neytiri had said to their mother, as the kids looked at each other as they watched and listened.

Mo'at " ........"

Neytiri "You had given friendship to these sky people and let them come into our home, and that took my sister from me because you thought it would be good for us, which ended up ruining many lives."

Neytiri "Then you allowed sky demons to win again that took the life of my father and he clan leaders, and you didn't come to Father's aid as you were with grace and Jake."

Moat " I didn't know of his death until it was too late to do anything to save him. Many lives have been lost."

Neytiri "Unlike you, I will never let my child or mate die alone, and it being my fault, Mother, you only have one child as my sister is gone and so is my father, and some can say you are to blame."

??? " enough." The two women soon looked to see Lani standing there, and she soon approached them.

Lani "Mother, how dare you come into my grandmother's home and insult her and try to blame her for death was were out of control."

Neytiri: "My daughter, you shouldn't ...."

Neteyam: "Mom, enough. You have said enough for tonight."

Neytiri " neteyam"

Neteyam "Grandmother, are you okay"

Moat: " I'm fine, my dear. Your mother's words can be harsh, but I will not let them get me down right now."

Neytiri " mother I ...."

Moat " I think it will be best if you take your leave. Neytiri, it is getting late, and we all should be getting supper ready and going to sleep as we have dinner to attend."

Neteyam "Good night, grandmother and sister. Mom, let's go," Neytiri said nothing else as she soon left home, knowing she had disappointed her two children and mother. Lani stood there to comfort her grandmother from Neytiri's harsh words that were fresh in everyone's minds. Tossing the blame at anyone over things out of their control has never gone well, and it seems to be the same right now. Soon, everyone had their meals and went to bed. Peaceful periods of sleep would not be easy for anyone that night.
