"Remember it's a bad day, not a bad life."
"What now?" Roy groaned.
"The only way to go is straight." Link replied.
"We're lost." Ike threw his hands up.
"Let's keep going." Marth suggested.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A low voice startled them.
Robin stood behind the group surrounded by his dragons.
"Why not?" Link snapped."You can never leave this jungle. No one gets out especially alive." He smirked.
"Watch us." Ike spat.
They started to walk away until a cry filled their ears. Pit's heart raced as he realized his brother wasn't there beside him.
"Stop! Are you crazy?" Link yelled at the wizard.
"Says the one who wants to leave the jungle!"
The Hylian lunged for Robin as they rolled onto the ground. The dragons ate on Pittoo's flesh. His cries and screams ricocheted throughout the jungle.
Roy and Pit tried to help the fallen angel but more dragons came by wanting a fight. Roy struck a dragon in it's head through it's skull while Pit got one in the heart with his bow and arrow.
Pittoo's cries started to grow quiet. Robin pushed the Hylian off of him.
The creatures returned to their owner's side. Nothing was left of Pittoo. No bones, hair, or flesh.
"You stay or you die. Simple as that." Robin warned.
The group stayed silent.
"Very well." The wizard stepped closer to Pit." I hope you learned your lesson."
He disappeared along with his dragons."Pit, I'm sorry." Link embraced his angel into a hug.
"Sorry for what?"
"That I didn't save Pittoo."
"You fighting Robin and trying to save him was enough." Pit kissed the Hylian.
"What are we gonna tell Shulk?" Marth questioned.
"Yah, he's going to be so upset." Roy replied.
"We have to tell him." Link insisted." I'll tell him."
"I'll help you." Pit added.
Later that night they rested on a quiet hill.
Roy and Marth laid together on the grass in their own world. Ike sat by himself isolated from the group.
Link and Pit leaned together against a tree.
"Are you okay?" Link glanced at the angel.
"I- I can still hear Pittoo crying and calling my name. It's scaring me."
The Hylian pulled him close." I won't let anything happen to you.""Do you think what Robin said is true? That we can't ever leave this jungle?"
"No, there must be a way out. We're going to get out of here." He kissed the angel's cheek.
A shriek startled them making them turn their heads.
"Hey guys." Shulk smiled with Sky on her fours beside him.
"What took you so long?" Pit asked.
"Sky kind of led us the wrong way."
Sky bowed her head like she was being disciplined.
"It's okay, sweetie." The blonde pat the dragon's head." Where's Pittoo?"
"Im sorry Shulk. He's not here." Link answered.
"What do you mean?" Shulk raised an eyebrow.
"He's dead." He whispered.
"Oh." The blonde frowned." It's not your fault. It's mine."
"It's not your fault." Pit assured." It's Robin's and we have to put an end to this."
"Trust me. I will." Shulk glared."
