Survive

With a touch of her hand, the white melted into black. Her eyes swirl to their normal beautiful clear blue.

Cracks spread down her arms like branches of acid spreading from her heart.

She fell from the arms of her loved ones and hit the ground with a thud. A small smile on her face.

Her transformation fell away and Plagg yanked the ring off her finger and placed it on her chest, holding the ring tight until cracks formed on it too.

No one had words. They thought they saved her...

She just...

Why?

"Plagg what are you doing!? You're breaking your miraculous!"

"That's the point!" He yelled at the bug holder, tears in his eyes. "It will stop the spread!"

"Plagg... Stop" she said weakly.

"Not a chance Kit. Everyone here wants you to live! Including me! So shut up and let us stop this!"

She raised her hand to gently pat his head before her arm fell to her side.

"Th-the cure! Beetle use the cure now!" Robin yelled.

"I-I don't know if it will even work!"

"Better than not doing anything!'

He summoned his lucky charm.

It was the charm bracelet Catastrophe gave him red, black, blue and green. His heart ached as he threw it up.

The ladybugs spread, the destruction caused, was set back to how it was.

The cracks shrank away a bit but she didn't wake.

Bruce shoved through the group, fell to his knees and placed his head to her heart.

With shaky breath he hugged her close, "She's alive... It's weak... But she's alive."

Thalia sat next to them, "What about the pits?"

Bruce sent her a glare to kill. "No!"

"But she'll be alive!"

"Her mind won't." Plagg snipped. "The kid has been in and out of that toxic sludge too much already. The fact her sanity remained is incredible. One more dip and she won't be anything but an animated corpse."

She looked down in guilt then reached to take her hand. "Fine. Bruce you better get her to the best hospital..." She leaned down and kissed Marinette's forehead. "Be well..." She said gently before rising and gently squeezing Damien's shoulder. "Look after her. That's an order... And a plea..." She said softly before running off. "Be safe Damien."

Jason shuffled on his feet. "What do we do about them?" He featured to Slade and Gabriel who were tied to a telephone pole.

"Um Red Robin and um someone from team miraculous can take Gabriel in and um Red Robin take Slade to the watchtower cells." Bruce said slowly, gently lifting Marinette into his arms. "Plagg will she live?"

"Barely. Might not wake up for a while... And... The cat miraculous is broken but the ladybug is okay... Which could cause issues... But that's for us miraculous group to deal with. You just make sure she keeps breathing because I'm not against taking you out. She's my kid more than yours!" Plagg hissed at him before going to sit on Adrien's shoulder with Tikki.

He nodded and they used the horse miraculous to get back to the manor. They trusted Alfred and their medical unit more than anywhere.

Adrien had to deal with the broken miraculous and the others helped with Gabriel, only Chloe, Luka and Alix could follow the Wayne's.
