Jada and I sat on the bed leaning against one another as we stared at the TV. She was extremely interested in the Tyler Perry movie and I, not being interested, was rubbing her 6 week pregnant belly.
The sound of my phone ringing echoed throughout the room, bringing me out of the blank trance I was in. After several seconds of my letting my phone ring, I finally answered it.
"Uh huh...Okay. This weekend? Alright." I said before hanging up the phone.
"Who was that Allen?" she asked.
"It was Alex. She wants me to help her with something around the house. You know shes redecorating the house." I told her then directed my gaze back to the TV.
She simply nodded and laid back against me. Then I thought about it.
"Babe I think we should start getting dressed" I stated , softly pushing her small body off of me.

You see today was my mother's birthday. She didn't want some big party,so we just had a simple "family get together". Nothing but family and close friends.
When we got there everyone was there except for my little sister. Mother said she said she couldn't make it because of a "work emergency". Which is probably some excuse not to attend the party given the fact her and our mother aren't on very good terms right now. Those reasons? I don't know. I guess she was always the rebellious child.
The birthday "party" was alright. Everyone got the opportunity to catch up with each other, we ate cake, and had fun.
The party ended roughly around four o'clock. When it ended , I dropped Jada off at home and told her I was going to the store but I was really going to see Alex. When I got there and knocked on the door, there she stood butt naked and I knew I wasn't going right back home.
