The next day, they informed the family about the trip and they are leaving in the evening, during breakfast. As expected, the announcement was met with varied reactions. Aayti looked worried but refrained from saying much, Advitya’s brow furrowed in disapproval, and Adrakansh, ever the stern figure, voiced his concerns outright.
“Saachi, do you really think this is a good idea?” Adrakansh asked, his tone heavy with authority.
“It’s not just a good idea, Bade Papa,” Saachi replied confidently, “it’s the right one. And Adhyant will be with me. Nothing will go wrong.”
“I hope you’re right,” Adrakansh said, his sharp gaze settling on Adhyant. “Because if anything happens to her, it’s on you.”
Adhyant met his gaze without flinching. “I won’t let anything happen to her.”
“Before leaving I want to meet mom and dad.” Saachi announced, standing up from the breakfast table.
"Are you sure? I mean, you’ve to do all the packing.” Adhyant asked and she nodded like a good child.
“I have almost packed everything and the bags will directly reach the airport. So on your way to the airport you just have to pick me from there.” She shrugged and said.
“Is it important like can't you meet them after coming back?” He said with seriousness to which she shook her head.
“I haven’t seen them in so long and I am missing them.” She made a pout.
“Adhyant, let her go.” Siya said and looked at her with a smile.
He nodded, but his expression remained unreadable as she made her way toward the door.
After breakfast, Saachi busied herself with leftover packings and after completing it she left for Sameer's mansion, her excitement uncontainable.
Visiting her parents always brought a sense of comfort, a reminder of the life she had before everything changed.
She was in the car when her phone buzzed, and she glanced down, seeing a message from Pragya:
“Looking forward to seeing you, beta. We’re waiting for you at the mansion. Take your time and drive safely.” Saachi smiled, feeling the love radiating from her mother’s words.
Pragya took time to accept her fully but in the beginning she had to act but now she really connected with her and behaved with her like a mother. Saachi also likes her a lot.
The car slowly drove up the driveway, and Saachi felt her heart swell as she saw her parents standing by the entrance, waving at her.
Sameer, was tall and composed, with a warmth in his eyes that always made her feel protected. Pragya stood beside him, her face glowing with joy. Her delicate features, framed by her neatly styled hair, always radiated elegance and kindness.
Saachi stepped out of the car, a grin spreading across her face as she walked toward them. Sameer was the first to pull her into a tight hug, lifting her off the ground momentarily.
“Look at you!” he said, holding her at arm's length as he admired her. “You’re glowing, Saachi. We’ve missed you.”
Sameer always looks Saachi like her Isha. He always thanks god for giving him his daughter back.
“I’ve missed you both so much,” she replied, feeling the weight of the years melt away in his embrace.
Pragya walked up and hugged her as well, her arms wrapping around her daughter in a comforting hold. "We’re so happy to have you, my love. How’s everything? How’s Adhyant treating you?"
