Chapter 31

“You… you lied to me?” Tahir's lips parted, but no words came out. The truth was out. And now, there was no turning back. 

Yug simply slipped his phone back into his pocket and gave a slow, knowing smirk. 

“Why? You fucking cheater, why?” She held his collar and shook him. While he jerked her hands and said loudly.

“Because Isha got pregnant with my child….”

Saachi stood frozen, her entire body trembling as the world she thought she knew collapsed around her. The sting of her own slap still lingered on her palm, but it was nothing compared to the searing pain in her chest.

Tahir.

Her best friend. Her supposed protector. The only person she had trusted after losing everything

Had been the one who had betrayed her the most.

“When did you and Isha get in a relationship?” She asked and with poker expressions.

“Three years back I met Isha in Manali. That time I didn't know her and I met her through a business deal. But then with her help I was getting many projects for our publishing house. Then I became more desperate for success so I made her believe in my love and convinced her to give me the A.S publishing shares.”

“But then after that night she was not feeling well so I called the doctor and they told me that she is pregnant. I told Isha to abort the child and marry Adhyant but she said that she will call off the marriage and talk to her dad. I got scared because I knew how dangerous Sherawat is. So I decided to kill that night but I didn't know that Adhyant would reach Saachi. My intentions were never to hurt you.” He sat on his knees and held her hand tightly.

“Then why did call Adhyay and tell him about Saachi’s plans?” Yug asked just to add some more flames in this drama.

She looked at Tahir with wide eyes then she looked at Yug with an unbelieving look.

“I informed Adhyay because I got an idea that Adrakansh Sir is behind me and finding my information. So doing this thing I thought that he would trust me and stop searching about me. Everything was a lie but Saachi one thing is true is that I was loyal to you when you were in jail. I went to Adhyant to convince him.” Tahir said desperately.

“And you made Mir Raza a criminal, right? But you know you are a fool. Because you thought that you could get rid of Adrankash sir's eyes.” Saying this he indicates something to officers and turning off the recording of his phone he sends it to everyone and keeps his phone back in his pants pockets.

Tahir grabbed her hand tighter, as if she was his last hope. "I did everything for you! I stood by you when no one else did! I was the one who picked you up when they threw you away! You were my everything, Saachi!" His voice cracked with emotion, his eyes wild with desperation.

Saachi's stomach churned in disgust.

"You used me," she spat, her voice laced with venom. "You manipulated me, filled my mind with hate, pushed me to destroy. You were the reason Isha died! You were the real monster!"

Tahir shook his head violently, tears brimming in his eyes. "No! I swear, I never wanted to hurt you. I just want us to be happy with each other.”

She stumbled back, breaking free from his hold. Her entire body ached from the weight of betrayal.

The police officer stepped forward, his expression hard. "Tahir Shergill, you are under arrest for the murder of Isha Sameer Rajput. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
