We find ourselves on the scorching sands of the Sahara Desert. No place for a water specialist. Transforming into the dragon again, we wing our way across the desert. Not a drop of water in sight.
{Why did we come here again?} Ripple asks.
{No idea.}
I land and conjure up a pool of water and some fish to eat. We drink and eat, then sleep for a few hours. Repeat.
This goes on for at least three weeks. All we have is each other in this huge, lifeless expanse, devoid of any living thing except for camels and scarab beetles.
I see something shimmer. I drop to the sand, exhausted. Nothing shimmers anymore. I roll around, and find something smooth and round underneath me. I leap back, and, there in the sand, is the tip of a blue stone poking out of the sand. I pull it out, and it's a huge sapphire, at least a foot long and one high. A sphere.
I pick it up, and we fly towards the ocean.
