The Hike to Wealth

Chapter 4

Eliza's POV
We had the boys set up the tents for us, they complained at first, but they were holding them.
"Nick's afraid of spiders," Livi whispered to me, "I brought some fake spiders and webs just for pranking.  I also brought something to seal the door shut until someone from the outside comes and opens it!"
"Ladies, if you are just going to sit around, then do it while you get a fire going," said Jake.
"You guys do know how to make a fire hopefully," Nick replied.
"Yes cousin dear, Livi said rolling her eyes. We are not idiots."
As we got the fire going, we talked about what we were going to do. We found a few Daddy Long Legs and placed them in a fire fly jar.
It was 5 o'clock so we decided to start making our chicken wings, we were going to let the boys make their own. As soon as Livi was done, Jake came over, grabbed her wing and took a bite.

"Jake," she yelled, "give it back!"

Of course, as I suspected, Nick came and did the exact same thing, but before he could take a bite I yelled,

"Give it back Nick, before you end up in the hospital."
I met Livi's eye and she nodded, she picked up the nearest spider she could find and slowly but surely she put it on Nick's head. 
Then she went over to the fire and started on another wing.
From knowing Livi for 13 years, I knew she was a great actor, she would not smile when she asked what Nick had on his head.
She looked up and then said to Nick, "What is on your head?"
"Hey Eliza, can you check what is on my head?" He asked.
I walked over and said, "it's a daddy long legs."
"Get it off me," he shrieked, "get it off!!"
I turned around, Livi and Jake were laughing so hard, they were crying.  I was also giggling.
"If you're afraid of spiders, Nick, then why have you come on this hike," Livi said innocently, "I mean, spiders are going to be everywhere.
We then had some s'mores, by then, it was 7:15.
(5 hrs later)

Jake and Nick had just come to wake us up.   Livi and I had our shift until 4 in the morning so we decided to get our prank ready at 2.

(2 hrs later)
We had already go the spider webs up and now we dangled a spider in front of their faces. In front of the door there were a ton of spiders dangling and on the ground of the tent.  We also but a barricade of logs right in front of the door so they would be stuck.  
We were going to start hiking some more at 4:30 so in an hour and a half.

90 minutes later

Ahhhhh!  I heard someone scream. It's going to kill me.  I think Nick was the one yelling.  I guess he stood up because then I heard-
"I'm going to pay those girls a visit."

"Nick, it was just a prank." Jake said.
"Why can't I open the stupid door?"

By that time Livi and I were howling with laughter while taking down the barricade.
As soon as Jake got out, he ran to Livi and started tickling her.
"S-stop I-t Jake," she said through fits of giggles.

She some how got herself turned around and gave Jake a kiss.  That made him stop.
"Happy birthday, Livi, how does it feel to be eighteen?" He said.
I felt sad, no one had ever loved me that much to not get angry and just love me instead.   I turned around and saw Nick looking the same way.
