Livi's POV
My dimwitted cousin, Nick, of course sprained my best friends ankle. We grabbed all our supplies and suited up, then started hiking.
"Hey Livs," Jake said, "Do you think that Eliza will stay angry for long? I mean she gave Nick the glare of doom."
"I think she'll be fine," I said, "It's hard for her to stay angry for long."
We continued walking and talking until Eliza joined us, then our talk about Team Niliza was over.
"Why has Nick been so weird to me so often," she asked, "he tries to copy everything that Jake does to you."
"I don't know," I lied, "he's never really dated anyone and he's sorta a jerk, so don't ask me."
Jake went off to talk with Nick, so I got the feeling he wanted me to talk to Eliza alone.
"I want to prank him tonight, once he goes to bed," she said with a sly grin on her face. "We are taking second watch tonight around midnight so it will be a perfect time to do it."
We had all decided it would be safer if we all brought along a knife, just in case something attacks us at night. I had also brought my bow and arrows just in case we ran out of food and needed to hunt. We had also brought along a walkie talkie for each of us in case we ever got separated.
"I wish that Nick would just stop being a gentleman you know," Eliza said. " All the boys I have ever dated have always done that and when they find out who I really am, they leave me. That's why it's hard for me to trust boys. Why couldn't I be like you and just find someone like Jake."
"Well maybe, Nick is your Jake," I said thoughtfully. "You'll know it when you find the one."
"Have you found him?" She asked.
"I think I have." I said.
•3 hours later•
The fire crackled in the darkness. The red and orange flames rose at least 2 feet in the air. We had originally planned to sit on logs tonight, but Eliza sat in a chair, and rested her foot up on a small tree stump. Jake was snuggled up to me, wearing his warm soft hoodie. Nick was across from us like two feet away from Nick. I smiled when he tried to tell her a joke, but got a glare as a response.
We told jokes, funny childhood stories(most of which I told about Nick) and ghost stories. When we were done, the boys went to there tent and Eliza and I to ours.
"So....," Eliza said mysteriously, "Are you still up to pranking the boys?" I formed a sly smile on my face.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," I whispered as we planned our 'attack'.
