Ezra's POV

"This sucks! God, I have nothing to wear, nothing fits!" she cried from outside the bathroom. I was just getting out of the shower, and she was attempting to pick out an outfit for our dinner tonight.

Aria was just hitting the 6 month mark in her pregnancy, and her parents had just gotten home from Iceland. We were going to a restaurant with them to announce the big news.

Aria and I had both agreed that it would be best to tell them in person and not over the phone, and we hoped they understood why we waited so long.

I got out of the shower wearing nothing but a towel, and saw a discouraged Aria sitting on the bed, wearing a tight dress that I later realized wasn't even zipped in the back.

I sat down next to her and pulled her towards me, wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my hands on her large tummy.

"I love you" I whispered calmly in her ear, knowing what would calm her down.

We pulled up to the restaurant, both of us sharing nervous glances.

"Okay, Ar, it's now or never. We can do this, okay? I love you." I said, squeezing her hand. She smiled slightly and I walked up to her door, opening it for her and helping her out.

We walked hand in hand into the restaurant, both knowing that they would discover our announcement before we even sat down, based on Aria's size.

We arrived where Ella and Byron were already sitting, and as soon as they turned to greet us a look of total shock crossed their faces.

"Oh my god, Aria, you're pregnant?!" Ella demanded, her tone a mix between anger and sadness.

Byron looked her up and down, and then looked at me.

"How could you get my teenage daughter pregnant?!" he asked, fuming.

I could see tears forming in her eyes as she moved closer to me, unable to tell what her father was about to do.

Aria was now silently sobbing, her body shaking slightly, as she tightly clutched my arm.

Ella and Byron both shared a look, and they both turned back to us with sympathetic eyes.

"Oh, Aria, come here sweetie..." Ella said softly, cradling Aria in her arms.

Byron and I stood there awkwardly, I was unable to tell if he was still angry or not.

Suddenly, he turned to me and looked me dead in the eyes.

"You better be the best father to that child, understand? And if you hurt Aria in any way, or that baby, I swear to god, Ezra..." he said quietly, an angry tone in his voice.

"I promise you, I will. I would never hurt her, I adore Aria, and I love our daughter so much, too. I love both of them, Mr. Montgomery." I said slightly defensively.

A sympathetic look crossed his face.

"A girl, you're having a girl? And please, just call my Byron." he said, anger draining from his voice.

I smiled and nodded, joyful that they were both accepting of this new chapter in our lives.

We spent the rest of the night laughing and talking and enjoying ourselves. I was especially happy since I had got Byron's permission to propose to Aria. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with this amazing woman.

Aria's POV

I had been tossing and turning all night, unable to sleep due to the sharp pains in my stomach. I knew it was contractions as I had experienced before, but I couldn't do anything about it since I wasn't in labor. I was almost 9 months pregnant, and it got harder and harder to sleep through the night thanks to my gigantic stomach.

The pain got worse, and I couldn't stay in bed any longer. I got out of bed in our small apartment, and walked to the bathroom which was only a few steps away.

I sat on the edge of the tub, clutching my stomach, worrying about how we would raise a family in this small home. My diamond engagement ring shone in the bright light of the bathroom, and I looked around, anxious for this contraction to pass.

We had a crib and changing table set up in the opposite corner of the room, and had other necessities for the baby, but not much else. We had been looking to buy a suitable home for months now, and nothing ever worked out. I sighed and stood back up, and suddenly felt a gush of water drip down my legs.

I knew exactly what was happening, as I had read up on the event countless number of times, desperate to do everything right. I walked out of the washroom and changed my clothes, wearing comfortable yoga pants and a loose t-shirt. I grabbed my hospital bag from the cupboard and grabbed the keys and phones. I then walked over to the bed and rubbed Ezra gently.

"Ezra–" I said, a contraction catching my breath. I clutched my stomach and managed to choke out a few words. "The– b-baby–is–c-coming" I said, wincing as the contractions got worse.

He immediately shot out of bed, and grabbed my hands, leading me tot he couch.

"I'm just going to get dressed and prepare everything, okay?" he said, panic obvious in his voice.

I couldn't speak due to the pain, so I just raised the bag and the car keys, showing I was ready to go.

He quickly got dressed and nervously circled around the room.

The current contraction had passed, but I knew it wasn't long until the next one.

"Ezra, please, let's go." I pleaded, desperate to get to the hospital. Ezra wasn't the same calm, strong man that I knew him as. I had never seen this side of him, I had never seen him this nervous.

I couldn't help but laugh as he frantically tried to shove the car key into the ignition.

"Ezra, you know that's the spare key to my car, right?" I laughed, but a look of pain soon replaced it as another contractions took over my body.

He laughed nervously, but a look of concern washed out his face and he reached over to grab my  hand. I took his hand and squeezed it tightly as he drove to the hospital.

When we finally arrived, I was instructed to wait in the car until he could get me a wheelchair. once he found one, he quickly wheeled me to the maternity ward, where I was set up with my hospital gown and private room.

Once I was installed on the bed, Ezra finally seemed calm for the first time in hours. He sat next to me and stroked my hair, obviously a lot more comfortable with the situation. He had already called my parents and the girls, and they were all on their way over here.

Ezra and I discussed names for the short time between each contraction, and we had finally decided on the perfect one.

I was anxiously awaiting for our little bundle of joy to arrive, and I could tell that Ezra was just as excited. I watched him as he placed his hands on my stomach, mumbling something to our daughter. I smiled at the sight; he would be such an amazing father.
