It's been three weeks, three! Since I've last spoken to her and I'm losing my mind. I want to know what is going on with her and Michael.

The other day I went into the cafeteria at lunch to grab some chips because I may have been slightly stoned and wanted a snack. And there they were sitting at his table with his friends but on the way end where they were alone and being cute. I hated it.

I was so annoyed and upset that things were going so good between them two! I was surprised he hadn't dropped her yet because he usually stays with girls for about a week or so. He leaves once he's had sex and he's gone! I do that too yes but only for a night and not a week.

I wanted whatever they had to crash and burn because he bothers me so much and I'll feel responsible for her getting hurt and for taking her to that party in the first place. I've never been in my feelings this long it usually blows over but the fact they're "talking" makes me want to light him or myself on fire.

I may have no chance with her but I won't allow it; she's just so precious.

I walked to third period already dreaming of getting pizza after 4th and what I should do after school. Maybe go hang out with the guys? I don't know yet.

As I headed to Mrs. Paloma's class I bumped into someone with an "oof".

They, well - she - mumbled a sorry and I mumbled an oops. I looked down and I immediately lit up.

"Damn! Not again. I can't help it if I have girls falling over me including you." I grinned looking at her. Aileen rolled her eyes.

"Please," she scoffed, "I merely bumped into you and I have somewhere to be. If you don't mind, I'm leaving."

She tried to step around me but moved with her blocking her way. She tried going the other way, but I also followed again.

"I'm going to be late Matthew!" She exclaimed.

"It's ok." I cooed still relaxed and happy.

"No it's not, Sanchez is a hardass on tardiness!" She groaned. She tiptoed and looked over my shoulder then to her watch checking the time.

"So? Aileen I wanna chat."

"I don't." She said bluntly, "Just what tell me what you want so I can get to class."

"I want lunch with you today. I swear we'll be back on time for fifth." I promised biting my lip.

She contemplated it.

"I was having lunch with Michael today but..." She looked at her wrist again warily then over my shoulder. "Yeah okay fine!"

The bell rang.

"Great! See you later then! I'll meet you by the big oak in front of school."

"Yeah ok whatever." She didn't look back as she brushed past me.

-

We sat there at Chubby's Diner waiting for our burgers. No one usually comes here and she suggested we come here.

"So..." I started, "how are things? With Michael."

She stopped drinking her lemonade to answer.

"Good." She said nodding trying to be convincing.

"You're lying."

"Why would I be lying? He actually treats me right and is very charming." She smiled and looked down at her hands she was playing with. I was annoyed.

"Oh come on! Don't tell me he hasn't tried to get in your pants yet." I bluntly said and rolled my eyes.

She stared at me pissed, but  not phased. "That's none of your business."

"He has hasn't he!" I out guested angrily.

"No." She shrugged, "I got in his."

I stopped staring at her astonished I never took her as that kind of girl! Oh my gosh don't tell me im chasing another hoe. Ugh I honestly thought she was one of the pure girls you hear about at church-

"I'm kidding." She started laughing. That's a relief.

"Why do you care anyway?" She asked when she sobered up.

"Because he never stays with a girl this long for trying to get sex!" I explained.

"Who said he's trying to just have sex with me? Maybe he really likes me." She said with hope looking at her hands again. It made my face soften. Because he doesn't, at least i hope.

"I highly doubt it." I said truthfully. I bet the prick is just with her to piss me off.

She looked up at me annoyed. "Why do you have to kill the mood?! Why can't you just accept it maybe he finally likes a girl enough to be loyal and date her!?"

"Because it doesn't work like that! You can't just suddenly attract some playboy and change his ways! Aileen I'm telling you he's talking to you either for sex or because he's dangling you in my face."

"What do you mean dangling me in your face?" She crossed her arms defensively and glared.

I stopped talking and just looked at her emotionless. After a silence I sighed, "Nevermind."

"No tell me what you mean." She stated seriously crossing her arms.

"No Aileen. Just drop it, I don't feel like explaining it." I said annoyed with my temper rising.

Why would I say that? Why would I basically admit that she kinda means something to me enough for him to rub her in my face? Which she doesn't I just think she's really pretty, but how am I supposed to explain I wanted her for sex also which Michael already knows by me taking her to the party.

I feel stupid. How could I let that slip? I have a reputation to attend to not wasting my time on some girl who's obviously into another guy and isn't the type of girl to give up her virginity. She's not my type.

"You know what Aileen I've gotta go." I scoffed. I got up and pulled out my wallet and throwing two twenties on the table. "Call my Michael to pick you up or something."
