Riley's POV:
The walk to the nearest restaurant was quiet, however, halfway there Charlie got tired and decided to use my leg as a ride.
He was so tired he made Hailey carry Roger for him.
"Why do you do that?" I asked as I bent down to pick him up.
I wasn't about to drag him across a dirty sidewalk.
"Cause I'm tired," Charlie said as he wrapped his small arms around my neck.
"Good explanation," I said as I continued walking.
Hailey couldn't help but chuckle as she stared at us.
"I've never seen Charlie get that close to anyone," Hailey said.
Biting my bottom lip, I was readying myself to speak when a phone went off. I was about to reach in my back pocket for my phone but then I realized it wasn't my ring tone.
"Sorry, that's mine," Hailey said as she pulled out her phone.
"It's fine," I said.
Moving ahead of us a bit, Hailey answered the phone and began to speak.
"So Charlie, what's your favorite hero?" I asked.
"Nightwing!" He exclaimed.
"Nightwing?" I asked as I stared at him.
"Yep," Charlie said as he hugged me tighter.
"Who the heck was that?" I thought to myself.
"Well, I like Korra." I mumbled.
"Why?"
"Cause she can fly," I responded as my eyes drafted to Hailey.
She looked a bit perplexed but it made her look so adorable.
"I wanna fly!" Charli exclaimed causing Hailey to look at us.
"I don't think you can handle it," I said looking back at him.
"Yes, I can!"
"Well, ok," I said.
I didn't know exactly how to make him fly so I did the next place thing.
I stopped walking and bent down, telling Charlie to stand for a minute.
I told Charlie he needed to stay still and not move too much since I didn't want him to fall. I then told him to climb on my back.
Once he did as he was told, I stood up.
"This isn't flying," Charlie mumbled.
"Just wait," I said.
Grabbing him around his wrist, I pulled him up and told him to quickly straightened his back.
The kid wasn't light that's for sure.
I then placed his stomach on my head and he began giggling.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Yes!"
Passing Hailey as I sped walked slowly in front, Charlie's voice echoed through the street. I was currently holding a few inches above my head. I had to readjust my hold on Charlie, but once I felt comfortable with my hold, I moved him up and down as if he was a dumbbell.
"Be careful you two!" Hailey yelled.
"We're superhero we don't have to be," I told her as I turned around to face her.
She was still on the phone and for some odd reason, I was annoyed. I wanted her to talk to us.
"Who you talking too?" I asked.
