Riley's POV:

After two long and excruciating weeks of doing absolutely nothing but going to the gym to stay fit, I was finally allowed to go back to the movie set. The team had been filming in Puerto Rico since Dan thought the island's geography was perfect for certain scenes. The island was known to have gorgeous craves and amazing forests that drawn many people to it, so there was no surprise that many movies had been filmed on the island. After looking up the island on my computer, I was extremely bummed out that I wasn't able to be there as long as the crew had. They had only one week left of filming, and after filming the shots that didn't require any stunts, Dan called me up and told me he needed me. Undoubtedly he could have saved money and find a stunt person in Puerto Rico, but in terms, he loved how I did my work since the shot always came out perfect, so he wasted no time in telling me to pack my bags.

Usually, I would ride in the private jet with the crew since it saved money, so Dan already set it up and allowed me one more day in my city. He was even generous enough to allow my parents to come if they wanted to since the week that he wanted me to fly out to Puerto Rico was Thanksgiving week. However, my parents already had plans of their own, so I decided to just spend time with them while I was still in the city. I ended going over to their house, which sat in their perfect blue-collar neighborhood that seemed to bore itself in the silences of the surrounding. It wasn't the house I grew up in, so I wasn't accustomed to it, nor did I know my parents friendly, but nosy neighbors.

I ended up spending a few goods hours catching up with my parents, and in terms, I got lectured for the faded bruises on my face. The stitches were all good and gone, but the faded scars were still there. Usually, I just sat there and rolled my eyes while a playful smirk appeared on my face. It was nothing out of the original, the visit to my parents, my mother would cry softly to herself, and my father would ask about my life. The usual questions popped up; "Are you dating?", "How's the gym doing?" etc. and I would answer the same way I always did.

I didn't date, and the gym was doing great.

When I finally did get home from my parents' house, the first thing on my mind was packing, and as I was doing so, my phone rang. I folded the shirt I had in my hand and answered the phone without looking at the I.D.

"Hello?"

"Riley!"

Pulling the phone away from my ear a bit, I chuckled before responding to the caller.

"What's up kiddo?" I asked as I held the phone in-between the side of my head and my shoulder so I could continue my packing.

"Mommy just dropped Avery off at the airport and told me if I behave, I could call you!" Charlie exclaimed into the phone.

"So I'm guessing you behave," I said as I smiled lightly.

"Yea, but guess what I did today!"

Chuckling, I responded.

"Um, you went to the gym?"

"Yea, and I got to play with the Legos again!"

Smiling to myself, I continued to listen to Charlie's story of what he built and what he ended up doing today. Once in a while, I hummed to let him know I was still listening, and that caused him to giggle. However, after about 15 minutes, though, I heard a voice in the background which I assumed was Hailey.

"Riley I have to go, mommy says it time for bed," Charlie mumbled. I could tell he was upset by the fact that he had to go to bed and couldn't continue to talk to me.

"Okay, kiddo, tell Roger I say goodnight," I said as I grabbed the phone and sat down on my bed.

"Okay, goodnight! Here's mommy!" Charlie exclaimed.
