Alexis burst out the back door, silent tears streaming down her face. "I can't believe this is happening. I just killed my mother. I killed my mother." Alexis said, thinking out loud. She stopped running, fully realizing what she had done. "I killed my mother." Alexis spoke softly, as if she would shatter into a thousand pieces if she spoke any louder. She sat on the forest floor, looking around. She didn't recognize where she was, she's never been this far into the woods. Silent tears pouring down her face, Alexis sat there, like bait on a hook. *THUMP* Alexis looked around and froze as she saw a teenage girl at the base of a large tree. Alexis examined the girl to find her as a neiko. The girl's cat ears were the shade of midnight, with a matching tail. Her hair, the color of a raven, reached her waist in slight waves. As she emerged from the shadows Alexis also saw that she had wings of pure darkness that seemed to have blades on the ends. The girl pulled out something shiny from behind her, a katana blade! Alexis started slowly scooting away from the girl as she strode gracefully towards her. The girl then stopped, for she saw Alexis eyes stained red from tears and her hands scarlet from blood. "Are you okay?" The girl asked. Alexis was shocked and jumped a little at the girl's voice. It was soothing, Alexis calmed down a bit and answered.
"Yeah, I'm j-j-just lo-lost. B-But I don't w-w-want to go back." Alexis replied sniffling. She was now calmed by the presence of the girl. Alexis placed her hands on the ground to get up, frost and a bit of ice swirling across the ground from where she put her hands. "What's your name sweetie?" The girl spoke with a confident yet gentle tone. "I-I'm A-Alexis. Alexis Ge-Ge-Geler." Alexis stuttered, she was still a bit shaken up from what had happened. The girl put her katana away, "I'm Light. Do you want to come with me?" Light said, reaching her hand out so Alexis could take hold. Alexis was very unsure, Light seemed nice, but she looked dangerous. After a bit of debate to herself, Alexis decided to go with Light. If she got killed, 'oh well' she thought 'I'll just meet the same fate that I brought unto my mother'. She couldn't go back to town, they'd put her in a home, or a mental facility. And she couldn't survive in the woods with no food or water besides the snow. Alexis grabbed Light's hand to stand up, but she let go as soon as she saw the swirls of frost start to climb up Light's hand and arm. "I'm sorry." Alexis spoke, just above a whisper. Light nodded as Alexis stood up.
Alexis and Light walked together in silence until they were near a big, dark mansion with tall cast iron gates. "So, Alexis. I was wondering, do you mind if I call you Frostbite? I mean, it just seams kind of suiting..." Light's voice drifted off. Alexis thought about it for a moment. "I don't mind, I kind of like that name. Where are we?" Alexis spoke with a quiver in her voice, she was a bit unsure of the mansion-type place. It was a bit scary, and it had an ominous feel to it, like it was staring back at you with malice. "This, Frostbite, is Slender Mansion." Light spoke with confidence, as if she was introducing a good friend "This is where you will live, if you wish to of course..." Light said comfortingly. Alexis thought about it for a moment, and decided that she really had no other options, I mean honestly. She killed her mother, the police would be after her, and if she got caught her only home would either be an orphanage or prison. "Sure! I'd love to live here!" Alexis said, faking a smile. In all reality, she was horrified. What if she had something terrible awaiting her inside? What if she was going to be tortured and killed? Alexis walked through the cast iron gate and towards the mansion, side-by-side with Light.
