CHAPTER 3

~Snow~

"Twenty-two years ago,"Savannah said, while my head cleared from the shock that the necklace gave me. "A kind hearted man named Caleb White formed Saibroes Haven with ten other families of Saibroes that were a peasant like him, deep in the middle of the Dark Forest so that he and his wife, Lady Ethica Royalty, can start their new life. Two years later, after Caleb finished building Saibroes Haven, his wife gave birth to a beautiful golden haired baby girl with one pink eye and one violet eye which they named Skylee. The couple rejoiced at the birth of their new baby even though the baby was a Saibro and they lived happily ever after.

"Well, not exactly. Two years later, Lady Ethica, who was pregnant once again, was captured the day before she was due to give birth to twins while she was picking wild flowers near the edge of the Dark Forest and she was dragged back to the Royal Palace without Caleb knowing. Lady Ethica's uncle, King Douglas, was mad at her for eloping with a mere peasant and for creating a safe haven for Saibroes that he usually create as slaves and that is the reason why he made his guards enter the dangerous Dark Forest to capture her.

"King Douglas greeted Lady Ethica with questions and torture devices although he knew that she was pregnant, and if not for the twins being Saibroes, then they would have died. And if Lady Ethica weren't pregnant, then she would have given in to Death's beckons. But she didn't. So, she lasted until she gave birth to two beautiful Saibro baby twins, one with deep red blood-like hair and the other with pitch ebony black hair. King Douglas was now furious, not only about his niece dying, but because now he can't find out where the ten other Saibro families reside."

"Blinded by fury, he instructed the Royalties' Saibro assassin to cut up the two newborn babies and to place their hearts in the golden box. If not done, the assassin will receive deadly consequences. The assassin had a conscience even though he was a ruthless killer, and so, he disobeyed King Douglas and placed the newborn twins in front of the Tenth Palace where he grew up, then later on, cut open two baby lambs that had hearts the same size as an infants, placing them in the golden box to replace the babies' hearts.

"The assassin came back to the Royal Palace with the golden box, showing the hearts inside to King Douglas and telling him that he did kill the newborn babies. King Douglas bought it and proceeded to plan his other phase to learn where Saibroes Haven was. It took him a year, but he finally came up with a great plan and the tools to execute them. He captured Caleb by using the twin babies as the bait. After he captured Caleb, King Douglas locked him up at the underground dungeon of the Royal Castle, torturing him twice every day and only feeding him once a week for the next twelve years. How he survived such a harsh condition, no one may ever know.

"King Douglas never got the location of this haven until yesterday, when Caleb died and when they figured out that he left a note which he wrote before he died for his two twin daughters that he never knew," Savannah said as my cleared head started to fill with the new information, giving me a massive headache.

"How does this explain why we need to kill the Royalties?" Scarlett asked, frowning. The blonde haired girl that had the Taylor guy in her arms rolled her eyes at my twin, but Scarlett ignored her, which was a very grownup thing for her to do. She always had been the mature one between the two of us.

With my head cleared once again, I tried to heighten my senses at killer mode. As I said, I tried to. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I feel like I'm in a different body. The same brain but a different body. I looked down on my hands while Scarlett and Savannah talked in the background about the Royalties and getting to the point. They were the same hands that I've always had, pale with unpainted long nails, but for some reason, the feeling that I was capable to kill anything with them is gone, leaving me empty of any thoughts about killing or guns and that was extremely weird for me. Although my bloodthirst was gone, my brain was still the same, although a bit foggy, and within ten seconds, I figured out that it was the necklace making me this way. I looked around and everyone had a necklace, all except for that one guy that placed this double star pendant necklace on me.
