another chapter because my gf keeps threatening me about the maze runner reunion i mentioned to her and never wrote it

The afternoon sunlight spilled through the windows of Taylor's house, casting golden streaks across the hardwood floors. Daisy sat comfortably on the couch, lazily scrolling through her phone while Meredith curled up beside her, purring softly. The house was quiet, a peaceful contrast to the whirlwind of events that had filled their last few weeks in Italy.

She was just about to put her phone down when a familiar notification popped up. Maze Runner GC. Daisy's lips curled into a smile as she opened the message thread, nostalgia already settling in.

Wes: "Hey, everyone! It's been ten years since the first Maze Runner movie came out... crazy, right? I was thinking—how about a little reunion? My place next weekend. Let's make it happen!"

Dylan was the first to reply, unsurprisingly.

Dylan: "Hell yeah, I'm in."

Thomas: "Ten years already? God, we're old."

Kihong: "I'm down! It's been too long."

More messages flooded in, everyone agreeing to the plan.

Dylan: "Daze, you coming?"

Daisy exhaled, the memories hitting her all at once. The long days on set, the late-night conversations, the friendships that had lasted a decade. And, of course, the fact that it was during that period of her life when she had met Taylor.

Her fingers hovered over the keyboard before she typed out a response.

Daisy: "Can I bring a plus one?"

Within seconds, Dylan's name popped up again.

Dylan: "Yes, Daisy, you can bring your girlfriend."

Daisy laughed, shaking her head.

Daisy: "See you all there."

Closing her phone, she set it aside and reached down to scratch Meredith behind the ears, absentmindedly playing with the cat until she heard the front door open.

She looked up to see Taylor stepping inside, looking utterly drained. She had her guitar case slung over one shoulder, her bag hanging off the other, and her expression was the very definition of exhaustion.

Daisy's heart sank at the sight. She knew Taylor had been pushing herself in the studio, pouring everything into her next project, but seeing her like this—her shoulders slumped, her movements sluggish—made Daisy frown.

Without a word, she got up and walked straight over to Taylor, cupping her face in her hands before pressing a soft kiss against her lips. Taylor sighed into it, the tension in her body loosening just slightly as she let herself lean into Daisy's warmth.

"You look exhausted," Daisy murmured, her thumb brushing gently over Taylor's cheek.

"I am exhausted," Taylor admitted, closing her eyes for a second.

"Come on," Daisy said, taking her hand. "You need food."

Taylor let Daisy pull her into the kitchen, too tired to argue. She sat down at the counter as Daisy rummaged through the fridge, eventually pulling out ingredients to make something quick but hearty. Taylor rested her chin on her hand, watching as Daisy worked, her movements fluid and effortless.
