"Hurry up Wren!" Bay taunts as she zooms past me.
"Oh no you don't!" I laugh as I quickly catch up to her. "So where are we going today?" I inquire.
"I was thinking....the ruins?" At this she smiles pleadingly.
"Sure, why not?" I laugh and zoom ahead. "Last one there's a barnacle!" I call out behind me as I speed towards the ruins with Bay hot on my tail. Soon enough we have reached the old ship. I slow to a stop. "Ha. I beat you." I laugh as Bay pouts. Her long black hair flows in front of her face and I laugh again. "Lets go!" I grab her hand and pull her into the old ship with me.
"Woah, what's that?" Bay points at something glinting in the corner. we swim towards it and move the cloth draped over it.
"Woah..." I whisper as we see the beauty of this object. It has a fancy golden frame, and it looks to be some kind of glass, although it's dirty from being down here for so long.
"Wren? Bay?" Someone calls and we freeze. "I know you're around here somewhere..." the voice seems to get closer. "Come on, sis! Mom and Dad said I had to come with you but you two left me behind!" At that I let out a sigh.
"Gem, we're in here!" I call out and she enters the ship.
"Oh there you are!" She swims towards us and smiles.
"Gosh, you scared us squirt." Bay laughs, ruffling my sister's hair. "Look what we found!" Gemma swims towards the object, entranced just like us.
"Oh I have an idea!" I reach into my bag and grab the cloth I always carry with me. I quickly wipe off the grime from the glass.
"Woah...." all three of us sigh at the beauty of this object.
"It's a mirror!" Bay giggles and looks at herself in the mirror.
"Fancy," I smile. "Lets try and get this out of here." The three of us each grab a part of the mirror. "Ok on three. One, two, three!" We lift the mirror up, getting it unstuck. we then guide it outside the ship. I whistle.
"Are they coming?" Bay inquires when a few minutes later there is still no response.
"Don't worry they'll be here." Soon after I finished speaking, we see three figures swim towards us.
"Pearl, Ruby, Iris!" Gemma calls out to them. They swim up to us. Iris, my bottle nose dolphin, rubs against me.
"Hey girl. Can you guys take this to my room for us?" Iris signals to her friends and takes the mirror. They quickly swim back towards the palace.
"So, who wants to go watch the sunrise?" Bays silver eyes sparkle at this thought.
"Oh me! Me!" Gem's ocean green eyes shine at the notion. I laugh.
"Let's go!" I swim past them, grabbing their hands and heading towards the surface. We swim up to our usual spot, some flat rocks where you can watch both the sunrise and sunset. We sit on top of the rocks and watch the beautiful sunrise, with many colors dancing across the waves.
"It's so beautiful!" Gem laughs as the light reaches us, and starts to dance across our scales.
"Shall we head back now?" Bay asks.
"What do you think, Wren?" Gemma turns to me.
"I suppose we should, huh?" We all dive back into the water and swim back towards the city.
