Rachel's POV

I heard an annoying beeping in my ear and then felt movement around my waist and a groan in my ear then the beeping stopped. I shot up in shock and span around to be faced with a half-asleep Ricky with his face smashed into his pillow. I started to panic as to why I'm here, but then I remembered last night: I told him how much I like him and then I stayed here because I'm too mad at TJ to go home.

Then I realised why Ricky had set his alarm. I shot out of his bed and ran out of the door.

"Where are you going?" A crestfallen Ricky asked as he stood at the bottom of the stairs in nothing but his boxers.

"We have a court date in two hours, get ready," I rushed back over to him, kissed him on the cheek and ran out again.

I jumped into my car, turned the key which made the car start blaring music from Kerrang Radio. I turned it down slightly and heard that it was 'Livin' On A Prayer' by Bon Jovi. I smiled, kept it on and bobbed my head slightly as I drove down the unusually quiet roads.

I finally arrived home and I unlocked the door and opened it slowly, trying to be as quiet as possible. I slipped my shoes off and tiptoed up the stairs, past TJ's room where I heard soft snoring - so I'm safe - and into mine.

I ran about my room, pulling on a black blouse, black blazer and black skirt that went down to my knees along with black, nylon tights and a pair of black ballet shoes. I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail and put on a pale foundation, mascara and a nude lipstick.

I ran back downstairs, grabbed a cereal bar, looked at the clock and saw I had an hour to drive to Ricky's, pick him up and drive him to the courthouse because it is my responsibility to drive him to there now that I convinced the judge to put him on house arrest.

I ran down the hall, closed the front door softly behind me, locked it and checked to make sure it was locked about ten times as I'm now overly paranoid and jumped into my car and sped off down my street. I realised I'm about fifteen minutes early so I turned back, unlocked my door, crept back upstairs and went into my room, packed about a weeks worth of pajamas and clothes and walked out of my bedroom door, slamming into something hard.

I looked up and saw the thing I had rammed into was a dishevelled looking TJ. "Why do you have those clothes?" He asked, seeming almost panicked.

"I'm staying at a friends for a while," I told him bluntly, no emotion in my voice or face.

"You're leaving me here alone?" He asked now definitely panicking.

"Yes. Why?" I asked, my business voice on. "You don't have anyone to pull pranks on now? Poor baby," I mocked sarcastically.

"No it's just- Nevermind," He sighed and got out of my way. "I'm sorry just.. hurry back, okay."

"I'll be back in a week," I mumbled. His eyes bulged, but he nodded anyway, accepting everything I was saying as there was no point convincing me otherwise; he knows once my mind is made, that's it. The way he reacted however lead me to believe that my initial thought of not believing him on the phone may've been more accurate than I anticipated.

"Okay," he sighed and kept glancing behind him as if he's checking for something. Or someone. "I'm sorry okay?"

"Okay," I nodded and brushed past him.

I made it out of the house and locked the door behind me. I walked back over to my car and opened the boot to put my bag in when I had a gut wrenching feeling that I was being watched.
