Pool Party Invitations.

Chapter 5

(AnnaLee's POV)

I decided to put the note aside and head over to Kenleys house.

She lived right down the street so I just walked down to her house within 3 minutes.

On my way I saw a moving truck and a boy leaning against it.

He looked around my age and he had dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a tyedye shirt with tan khakis and a pair of black vans.

He looked up from his phone and met eye to eye with me.

Crap, he caught me staring.

I quickly sped walked up to Kenleys door and just let myself in. I went strait to the back and saw they were already in the pool.

"Kenley, have you met your new neighbors?" I ask as I sit on the edge of the pool.

"Yea, their son is actually coming over later to party with us." She replied.

Great.

"we should have a tiny pool party and just invite guys." Mya said as she pulled my feet and yanked me in the pool.

" or we could invite like 2 guys over so it will be 3 girls and 3 guys." Kenley retorted.

"Ugh... That's no fun." Mya complained.

" or we could have no boys over and just invite our moms over." I sarcastically butted in.

Mya snapped her head in my direction in a matter of a second.

"No."

Me and Kenley just started laughing and Kenley told us to invite one person over.

" can you just invite someone over? I will invite Cam over. She just texted me saying she's is on her way."

We ended up deciding I would call the pizza place and Kenley and Mya would invite the guys over.

As I was pouring chips into a big bowl I heard a knock on the door. I ran to the door thinking it was the pizza boy.

It was the neighbor..

"Hey, they are in the back through those sliding doors." I smiled pointing towards the doors.

" will you be joining us? Because if not I might turn around right now and go home."

Smooth.

"Yes I will be joining as soon as the pizza got here."

He kissed my cheek went out back.

As soon as he left I rolled my eyes and went back to pouring chips. When I was done I took the chips out and set them on a table near the hammock in the backyard.

I went back inside and found some pop and set that in he table as well. When I walked back inside the doorbell rang and I ran to get it.

When I opened the door the one and only Jacob Whitesides was standing there looking down at me with some guy named Alex behind him.

I told them they were in the back and Alex went to the back but Jacob stayed behind.

"Did you get my note?" He asked with a smirk.

"What note?" I asked innocently.

I wasnt gonna tell him I had the note because maybe he would forget about it.

He looked at me and looked back. He got closer and I didn't know what to do. He leaned down and started to kiss me...

And I kissed back.

Seconds later I heard the door open and Cam walk in.

"Uhh. Sorry I'll just go to the back now." She said awkwardly and ran out the doors.

"I'm gonna go check on her." And with that I was out the back doors.
