A few weeks after

Alec's POV

It had been awhile since I had last seen Magnus. I was starting to get worried about him. I just couldn't let him hurt Magnus. Mammon would've just so he could have me. I don't know why but ever since I met him he had taken a liking to me.

I first saw him when we were on a mission in New York. I was in the middle of killing a Raum Demon when he ever-so-lightly tapped me on the shoulder. I finished off the demon and asked him what him name was. He smiled a very...weird smile; I couldn't tell what it was, but I didn't like it to much. Such a small, fragile-looking guy couldn't be evil, could he. That's when he answered me, "you can call me Katt." "Is that your name?" I asked. He just smiled. What is it about his smile that gets me worried? The next thing I knew, he handed me his number and left. He gave me a wink like Magnus did the night we met. Magnus. Why didn't you tell him you were in a relationship? Dumbo. I sighed loudly.

"Alec, we have to go! Come on!" I heard the others yell. I couldn't go see Magnus today because I felt bad for him. I just couldn't stop thinking of his smile. Is it love? No, I love Magnus. Then what is it?

Well, it's safe to say that I know what was in his smile. Pure brutality. As it turns out, I've been leaving the institute every day to go see Mammon. Don't get the wrong impression, I don't like him, AT ALL. He's evil. He's exactly like Sebastian was, heartless and wanted love.

At first I felt bad for him, he wanted love more than anything, even more than Sebastian. But that all changed when I found out who he really was and what he was in general. He's evil, powerful, and hungry for love. Scratch that, he was starving. As it turns out, he's a demon, obviously. But what else wasn't clear was the fact that this was not your typical greater demon, this guy was the brother of Magnus's father, Asmodeus.

Yes, he is one of the nine princes of Hell. I wouldn't have ever gotten near him again if I had known.
We met again at Takie's when I went with Jace, Isabelle, Clary, and Simon. We had fun, but when we were about to leave, he came up to me and asked, "your dating that warlock?" He wasn't mad, just disappointed, I think. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I was going to tell  you, but you vanished from thin air. I'm sorry to have lead you on." I bowed my head and looked down. It was then that I saw his true features; neon green eyes 'one big pupil, one small', he was much taller 'somewhere around seven feet', and his teeth were sharper than a seraph blade and they glowed dark blue 'almost thought it was black'.

I wanted to scream; what it was that still scared me the, though, was no longer a mystery. His smile was pure evil, and I could tell he didn't care I had a boyfriend. I started backing up when I bumped  into Jace. "What the- Alec, are you ok? You look like you walked in on a lady." Simon laughed, but Isabelle elbowed him and Clary glared at them both. Pretty soon, they were all laughing, everyone but me. I can't believe they didn't see him. His glamour can't be that strong.

I kept staring into his eyes. He just smiled and laughed. "Liking the view? I'll see you tonight, so don't worry." He vanished again. By the Angel. His voice is a Lot deeper than what it was. And what does he mean 'he'll see me tonight'?

"Ok, now you are scaring me. What is it Alec?" Clary asked me. I couldn't answer her. I had all my attention on the mysterious ring, that some how appeared on my ring finger. Magnus will kill me! What will he think when I tell him a guy gave me his number and a ring mysteriously poofed onto my finger? Bullshit. That's what.

I was, once again, snapped out of my thoughts and back to Jace. "Hello, Alec, what's wrong? Were you paying attention to what I was saying?" I shook my head. He sighed. "Well, we better head back before he loses his mind." Jace smirked. I knew he was trying to get a reaction, but I found myself staring at the ring again. It had a 'M' on it with green gems that seemed to be swirling inside of them.

Ever since then, he's been coming over night sneaking me out of the institute so he can drag my all over world, by portals of course. We haven't done anything yet, but I knew I couldn't keep making excuses forever. He's tried to kiss me, but I said no. I didn't think a demon lord could, or would respect other's choices in the least. That is why I had to break up with the love of my life. Because if I hadn't, he, along with everyone else I love, would be dead. All because Katt, or Mammon, would be jealous.
