Malec: Magnus Gets Drunk

Alec heard a whispered conversation outside of his bedroom door about a week after him and Magnus had broken up.
  He was staying in the Institute until his apartment was ready for him to move into it. His parents were still in Idris and didn't know anything about it. He begged Isabelle and Jace not to breathe a word. He didn't need an I told you so right now.
  "All I'm saying is maybe it would be good for him to get out, interact with people." He heard Jace mutter at Izzy through the door. Alec sighed and pulled his pillow over his head.
"And I'm saying that there's a mourning period. Remember-" Izzy lowered her voice and even through the door and the pillow Alec could hear the unshed tears in his sister's voice.
"Remember when Max died? And I didn't want to see anyone?"
"That, that was different." He heard Jace retort but his voice has lost the energy it had had earlier. "You blamed yourself for Max's death-" Izzy instantly cut him off. "You don't think that Alec blames himself for the breakup? Really?" She said gravely.
Alec couldn't take anymore. He flung open the door. "Enough." He whispered. His siblings looked up at him in horror. "Oh Alec." Izzy said.
"Where were you guys headed?" Alec asked,ignoring the sad looks his siblings were giving him. After a moment of silence Jace answered. "We need to do a routine demon check at Pandemonium." Alec nodded sharply. "Fine. I'm in."
