Kill Or Be Killed.

Chapter 22

-Two weeks later, after the battle between Kiba and Alucard-

Border patrols have been boring, hunting has been boring, classes has been boring, sparring has been boring, everyone just seems to be quiet and lazy. It's coming up for October though, prey is bound to be more scarce, and there's nothing much left to teach our young. New leaf (Or as humans call it, Spring) is going to be good. We will have an entire army of fresh soldiers. We're going to need them if this guy is going to be stronger than Alucard. I sighed and lifted my head up off of my desk, I turned to look at the clock 7:43 I didn't get any sleep last night. I've been up for the last three days, working none stop on a plan preparing for this guy's attack. It's my Birthday in five days... The same day this guy is supposed to be attacking. If I haven't been training, I've been writing down multiple methods of how to beat him depending on his tactics. I'm slowly giving up.

Suddenly there was a knock at my door I slammed my head back on my desk and ignored it. They knocked again, and I snarled under my breath. Go away, I'm busy. Now I could hear my door creaking, and I made my body limp, pretending to be asleep. The footsteps were getting closer, I didn't recognise the smell, I wanted to look up, but I thought it would be better to still pretend to be asleep. That's when something was pressed against my head and I heard the sound of a revolver clicking. Within a split second, my eyes widened, and I dived off of my chair, kicking it into my enemies stomach, sending him flying. My heart began beating quickly, and a sweat droplet dripped down my forehead and off my nose. Fuck, that was too close. I looked up, and I was brought face to face with a hunter. How did he get past our guards, and our entire Clan?
"What is your name Vampire scum?" He asked
"Kiba." I replied coldly
"You're brave, and fast. You'll be remembered for it."
"And your name? I'll need to put a tag on your dead body, when I send it back to your quarters." I smirked
"Edward, Edward Van Hellsing."
I gasped and stared at him, only noticing now that his eyes were yellow. Why does this form have to come out now?
"Alucard. Wake up. That's the old you!" I called

All I did was blink and the next thing I knew, I was being thrown against a wall by my neck. His finger nails started to elongate, and he dug them into my neck, making my mouth open wide to scream in pain, but he gripped tighter to stop anything from coming out. I grabbed his arm, trying to force him away, also digging my claws into him. Somehow I got a burst of energy and I screamed loudly, but deeply, and a huge explosion of dark fire erupted around me. I was confused to how it happened, but I didn't complain considering it made him drop me. He looked at me, his eyes flickering between red and yellow come on Alucard, you can do this. I got closer and he growled. That's when I pushed my luck and hugged him tightly. Not soon after I felt him hug me back and I smiled knowing I'd gotten Alucard back.
"I'm sorry Kiba..." He sighed
"Meh, it's cool, I'm used to all this bad shit happening." I said scratching my nose

So yeah, like I said, it's my Birthday in 5 days; I'm pretty sure everyone  has already forgotten anyway... I practically told Alucard to bugger off, and I sat back at my desk, with my quill in hand. I wast particularly bothered about my Birthday, but what I was bothered about, was this guy. I'm still so confused, what if I'm not strong enough? Oh-h-h I hate this! I sat up from my desk and threw the sheets of endless writing on the floor, along with the desk and chair themselves. You know what screw this, time to cause some taboo. Now my rebellion starts, and considering I'm now the strongest, no one can stop me!

-Alucard's P.O.V-

My sleep has been pretty reckless recently, i can't seem to just close my eyes and drift off. I think Kiba's noticed it too, even with her absence. I still can't believe that Kiba still thinks this guy is going to be stronger than me. Her and Ragnar. She blames us for not believing her, when she's the stupid one for believing it's going to happen. Even my brother thinks she's telling the truth. Idiots. I think Angel may be starting to believe it too, I don't know, but I'm not falling for it! Suddenly the tree above me started to shake.
"Who's there?" I asked
"Someone you killed." The masculine voice sniggered
"Ha, I've killed a lot of things. Which one may you be?" I said jumping backwards to get a clear view
"The one that will kill you, and take your wife." He grinned

It's him!? It can't be, what is he doing here? I thought he was dead! Who is behind it all? Shit, I need to check on Kiba! Damn you.
