Someone knocked on the door. It was Uncle Hedge!
"Welcome, coach!" Mom greeted sarcastically.
Mom was trying to pretend to be joyful and happy even though she was being hurt by her husband. She covered her bruises with her make-up. I feel pity for mom.
"Hmmm..something weird is going on here." He suspected. Dad was at our room sleeping.
"I smell monsters here, cupcake. Please be careful." He reminded us.
"Why'd you visit us here coach?" Mom asked.
"I just wanted to visit my very awesome nephew. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine coach, thanks for the concern."
"Please, take a sit." Mom suggested.
He sat at our sofa and coincidently, dad woke up.
"Haahahah, long time goaty head!" Dad welcomed, not exactly what you would expect.
"Excuse me?! Do fifty push-ups now!" Uncle instructed.
"Pft. Is that even right? Were not your cupcakes anymore Hedge." He replied.
Dad doesn't talk like this. He seems so different, well we already knew it, but still, I didn't expect that he would speak like this to his mentor.
"Am I even welcome here?" And with that statement, he left.
"What's wrong with you?!" Mom exclaimed.
"Huh? You dare get angry at me? Go to our room and never go out." He replied.
And with that, he choked mom and shoved her at our room. I was there, defenseless, just a crying baby.
"You too." He exclaimed and there I went to my room.
