Later that afternoon, Sakura found herself in Naruto office. She been mulling over the situation all morning and she needed to talk about it now.Her expression was serious, her brows furrowed with concern.Naruto was looking through some paperwork's, his eyes scanning over the reports,he noticed her silence."What's up Sakura?Something is wrong?"
"It's about Yukio and Hikari." She began, her voice hesitant."Since Sarada coming back soon, we need to make sure.. things don't get complicated."
Naruto stop flipping through the paperwork's and set them down, his expression more serious. "What do you mean?"
"Since she is coming back..the situation with Yukio and Hikari is delicate. We can't risk her finding out too much.I don't want her involved in something she doesn't need to know.We need to move them somewhere else."
Naruto eyes narrowed thoughtfully."I see..wouldn't want to make things more complicated. But where do you suggest they go?"
"It's needs to be somewhere safe but out of the way, far enough from the village center that no one start asking questions.Maybe one of the properties on the outskirts?"
Naruto thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright that could work, but I'll have to make sure they're shinobi's outside in order to protect them. But do you think moving them will solve anything?"
She smile sadly."I'm not even sure Naruto."
..........
The walk back from Hinata house was quieter than usual, both lost in their own thoughts. It was quite nice getting to know their "mom"
When they reach to Sasuke house, the familiar sight of uchiha compound greeted them, but there was an odd stillness in the air, odd.Yukio gave Hikari a sidelong glance before walking inside, his step echoing in the empty entryways.
Sakura was in the living, packing up a few boxes, her face set in a neutral expression.Sasuke stood off to the side as usual, but his gaze flickered up when he heard their footsteps."Back already?" Sakura asked.
Yukio raised an eyebrow, feeling the weight of the unspoken words hanging in the air. "What's going on?"
Sakura placed the box down carefully. "I'm afraid you two have to move out."
The word felt like a punch, and for a moment, neither of them spoke.Yukio lips pressed into a tine line and Hikari expression betraying a mixture of disbelief and disappointment.
"Why?" Yukio said with frustration, creeping into his voice."We just got here.Whats going on this time?"
Sakura sighed. "It's for your own safety and with Sarada coming back soon, we can't risk her finding out about you two. We've arranged for you to stay somewhere safer."
Sasuke finally spoke."We're not kicking you out, but we have to keep Sarada safe.We can't allow her to get caught up in something she doesn't understand yet."
Hikari look at them with silence.
Yukio gaze flicked to Sasuke, a glimmer of defiance in his eyes."And here I thought we were trying to figure things out, not to hide from everything."
"We're not trying to hide you away—"Sakura spoken.
"It's making it seem like you guys are!"
"Yukio that's no—" Sakura cried
"Yukio just let it go."
Everyone turned around and looked at Hikari.
"Arguing it's not going to change the point we are getting kick out.If they want us to go then let them do as they please."
Yukio exchanged a look.Till he finally spoke, his voice is quieter now. "Alright...where are we going this time?"
"We've arranged a place on the outskirts of the village. Its not small and you'll be able to stay there until we know more, and you'll have everything you need." Sakura stated.
Yukio nodded slowly, his frustration giving way to a reluctant acceptance.
As they left the house, the quiet disappointment lingered in the air. Will it ever get any better?
..........
Deep within the shadows of a darkened hideout, a lone figure sat leisurely In a worn out chair, a smirk tugging in his lips. His fingers tapped rhythmically against the wooden armrest, the sound echoing in the otherwise silent space.Across from him, one of his
subordinates knelt, head bowed, awaiting orders."So, it seems like they moved them again?"
The subordinate nodded stiffly."Yes. They relocated them to a cabin outside the village, away from the main population."
A low chuckled escaped the man's throat, his eyes gleaming with wicked satisfaction."How predictable. They really think hiding them away will make a difference?"
The kneeing subordinate remained silent.
The man exhaled sharply, shaking his head. "If anything, they've made this easier for me.Isolated targets are much simpler to retrieve than one surrounded by an entire village of shinobis."
He leaned back to his chair."Tell me,how are they adapting?"
"From what I have observed...they aren't happy, they feel abandoned."
The man chucked again, a deep, a satisfied sound. "Good let them know stew in that feeling, the more resentment they build, the easier it will make them see things my way."
He slowly stood up.
"Keep watching them." He ordered."And when the time is right..we'll make our move."
He turned away, stepping into the shadows, turning his voice carrying one final, amused remark.
"After all, lost children are always the easiest to lead astray."
He's back!I realize it's gon take a while to finish this story lol!hope u guys don't mind!
