woke up gasping for air.The room was very bright,it took a few moments to adjust my eyes according to the surroundings.I looked at the room that I was currently in.The walls were white and bare.It reeked of medicine,as I took in the surrounding I realized that I was in a hospital.t
I tried to move around but a sudden jolt of pain ran through my pain.I The pain was intensifying by the second as I continued to move,at a point the pain was unbearable which made me stop struggling.I was hooked to various wires,the continous beep,beep,beep was starting to get on my nerves.I tried to shout to call a nurse or someone but my couldn't.My throat was dry like the Sahara desert.
The repeated cries of families who lost their loved ones and the happiness and joy of families whose loved ones have survived both sickened me to death.Call me heartless or whatever but it made sick and depressed,because this constantly reminded me that I have no family,I have no one who will cry for me nor be happy for me and that at the end of the day I'm all alone in this cruel,cruel world.
I slowly started to drift away to darkness with the thought of my deceased parents in my mind.When I woke up again I noticed that I was not alone,i saw the docotor jotting some notes down.He became aware at the fact that I was awake when I started to grunt due to the pain that was coursing around my body.
He smiled at me and kept the notepad down."Ah! You seem to be awake" he said in a comforting voice."Water" I manage to spit out of my mouth.My voice came out raspy,I'm sure I sounded like a 50 year old man doing drugs.He seemed to realize that I was in desperate need of water and told a nurse to get me a glass of water,After waiting for ages the nurse finally brought me a glass of water.
As soon as I got hold of the glass,I started to chug it down the throat ,it felt so heavenly.While I was busy chugging the water the nurses started to inject morphine or something to ease the pain.I soon became numb and the pain started to drift away.The doctor soon started to ask a dozen questions,and finally I got to ask the question that was lingering in my mind throughout the stay in the hospital.
How did I end up here?
The doctor looked surprised as the words came out of my mouth."Don't you remember?" he asked in a surprised manner to which I shook my head as a no."well you were in an accident,which lead to cause internal bleeding and broken bones.It is thanks to your boyfriend who called the ambulance on time,otherwise you would have been long dead" he explained.
As the words registered,memories started to flash in my mind.Wait a second boyfriend?I don't have a friend let alone a boyfriend? "wait,I don't have boyfriend,you must be mistaken" I told him.He just shook his head and sighed "young love", "well boyfriend or not he was the one rescued you and brought you to this place,plus he even visited twice but you were asleep".He said in an amused manner.
"Did he tell his name or something?" I asked him to which he answered as a no."He is about your age and he looked quite intimidating but he did say he goes to your school" he described.After the whole interrogation he informed me that I would be discharged tomorrow.
The mystery boy continued to linger my mind.As the medicine started to kick in I was determined to find the guy and demand answers and if I'm in a good mood thank him,and with that determination sleep mothered me to sleep.
Little did I know that Mr.Mystery guy will turn my world upside down.
