Its skin rips,exposing the dense,moist red fluid rich in Lycopene as you bite it. You take the tomato and hold it gently in your hands, Inspecting its content. You see SEEDS. friggin SEEDS. As you continue to look at it, you begin to realize that it is not delicious AT ALL. You run to the kitchen, bow your head and spit it out. ALL OF EM.

You scrunch your face, hoping the taste would not stay. BUT IT DID. So you open the fridge, take a bottle of water and chug it. "Hopefully the taste goes away" You say.
After you chug 2 bottles of water, Its taste finally recedes. Feeling victorious, You put the bottles on the sink and walk to the couch. "Im never gonna eat a tomato" You say.
After a few minutes, you hear someone knocking on your front door. You stand up from your position, put the bowl of popcorn on the table and walk to the door.
Almost immediately, Shaniqua, your bestfriend hugs you. Confused, you ask her "Why are you hugging me?" she says "I thought you were sick." you remember you told her you were sick as an excuse to not go to a party. You fake a cough and say "Oh, yeah. My head still hurts. I need a bit more of rest"
"So what are you doing then? Is that popcorn?" She says, trying to peek inside your apartment. You close the door behind you, hiding the popcorn and the turned on TV. "Why'd you come here?" you tell her. "Uhh, I brought you some Tomatoes."
Your eyes suddenly widen and you make an unintended disgusted face. "You what?" she repeats, "I brought you tomatoes. didnt you hear me?" "I dont like tomatoes." you reply. "They're not that bad. They're my favorite" ~Oh god, how can these nasty stuff be your favorite?~ "Nope. Im never gonna eat that." you tell her sternly.
Shaniqua sighs "Fine, im just going to throw these. I just wasted 5$ for a whole basket of tomatoes. Its okay. I mean, Its just 5$ right? Its fine. Really." She tells you with large, pleading eyes. "Really? Youre using that tactic on me? For some tomatoes?" She doesnt reply. After 30 seconds of silence, you decided you would take it. Since shes just caring for you. "Fine, I'll take it."
Her face lights up and says "Yay, Thanks! Make sure you eat those!" You shrug "Im not sure if ill be able to." you say as she walks off waving her hands and saying goodbye. You walk back in your room and put the basket of tomatoes on the table.
