!Chapter 20!

Tanjiro then goes in, Y/n still standing there, confused and watching Tanjiro preform the second form of water breathing.

~3rd Person POV~

Tanjiro swings his sword, blood squirting out of Yahaba's neck and head, as one of the eyes on his palms closes, and one of his actual eyes opens. Most likely due to shock. Y/n notices this, and slightly widens her eyes, but they quickly retracted to normal-sized. Y/n also watches as Tanjiro falls to the ground after he sliced off Yahaba's head. She quickly sheathed her sword and immediately moved to kneel beside Tanjiro who is still laying on the ground.

"Tanjiro! Are you alright? He didn't hurt you too much, did he?" She asks, worry laced in her tone and her expression clearly concerned.

'A-ah, Y/n-chan... She worried about me... She cares, and that must mean she loves me! I knew it! We were meant to be!' Tanjiro thinks to himself, staring into Y/n's shiny e/c eyes. 

"A-ah... Uhm, yeah.. I'm fine. Are you? He didn't hurt you at all, did he?" Tanjiro asks, Y/n responding with a smile on her face.

"Yes. I'm completely fine. He didn't hurt me at all. Most likely due to Kibutsuji's orders, but what would Kibutsuji want to do with me?" Y/n thinks aloud, putting her index finger and thumb on her chin as she thinks deeply. What would Muzan possibly want from her?

"You no-good... Dirty... Bastard! If I'd only brought back your head and the girl alive, he'd have recognized my value! I'll never forgive you! Not ever! Never! Plus you got dirt on my face!" Yahaba's head rambles, as  his clothes fall to the ground without a sound because his body already disintegrated. Y/n and Tanjiro immediately snap their heads toward the still speaking head, one eye about to fall out. Tanjiro quickly stands up so Y/n does the same.

"I'll crush you!!" He yells again, as red arrows are in Tanjiro, going all directions, and flinging him around. This time, red arrows also encase Y/n as well, but instead making her seemingly dance instead of actually harming her. 

'I will not lie. The girl is quite beautiful. Maybe I'll have her die with me, and we'll see each other in the afterlife.' Yahaba thinks secretly, a tiny smirk on his face but it quickly faded into a more serious expression.

Y/n finds it strange that Yahaba was being a lot more gentle to her than Tanjiro, not actually harming her. Y/n looks over her shoulder to see Tanjiro getting flung around, and has guilt in her heart for not being able to help him.

'Poor Tanjiro. He has to use all of his forms back on back with the last ounce of energy he has left in his body while I'm here not having to use a single form. I wish I could help him. I wish I wasn't so.... useless.' Y/n thinks, her face having guilt written all over it and her heart heavy.

Suddenly, she sees the red arrows fading, and Tanjiro falling to the ground. Also realizing quickly that the red arrows moving her were also gone, she swiftly runs below Tanjiro and catches him, as to not further damage his already hurt body.

'Wait, I swear... I just saw Tanjiro blushing in the corner of my eye... ' Y/n thinks, her brows furrowed in suspicion but also in worry as she looks at Tanjiro in the face, setting him down gently onto the dirt ground.

"Tanjiro, are you alright? Nothing is... Too damaged, right?" Y/n asks, her voice full of worry.

"Uhm, yeah... I'm fine. But we have to make it back to the others, Nezuko, Rina, and Sora are still fighting that other demon!" Tanjiro says, his hands shaking from the amount of times he has had to use them for forms. 

"Yeah, you're right! Let's go back quickly! Don't worry, I'll carry you, you're too hurt to walk in this state." Y/n says, putting one arm underneath Tanjiro's legs and another under his neck. She then stood up with ease as she carried him bridal style while lightly jogging towards the other demons.
