Chapter 9: New Manager & an old friend

Once Antonio got back home, he quickly called Aalayjah to talk to her about her job.

"Hello?" She answered the phone in a tired voice "oh, hi Tony."

"Did I wake you? I'm sorry. I gotta talk to you though." Antonio said

"Alright, what's up?"

"How'd you feel about becoming my manager?" He asked with a smile and her end goes quiet.

"Are-Are you serious?" She asks in a excited tone

"As a heart attack, I believe in you." Antonio smiled at his own words.

"Uh, y-yeah. I'd be honored to be your manager." Aalayjah responds "I won't let you down."

"I know you won't. Get some sleep, this album's gonna give you hell"

And with that? The superstar hangs up the phone and heads to sleep. The next day, Antonio drove to Calabasas for a meeting with someone he's known for a long time. Someone he trusts.

"So you want me to produce the album?" The mysterious man asked him

"I do, I'm lookin for synths and some hard beats. You're the best person that I could think of." Antonio explained his reasoning.

"Been a minute since I produced." The mystery person says "I heard Darling Nikki by the way. Shit's hard my friend." He smiles "Tell you what, give me-"

"I'm not giving you time to think, listen to this." Tony hands him a USB drive. "That's the song Louie and I made a couple nights ago."

That song ... Was Afterglow. The song Tony thought of Camille when recording that night. The mystery man nodded his head to the beat Louie created and praised the production of the song.

"I can work with this. Louie and I would work together on this, but I need that hard shit though Tone." He explained

"That's what I' doing with this project, that's why I want you on here Danny."

Danny sits back in his chair and thinks. "I produced your first album in 2014, remember that?" He chuckles

"I remember." Tony laughs "Good times man."

"Alright, I got you. Give me somethin to work with and I'll lay down some beats for you."

"Thanks old friend, I won't disappoint you."

"You never do."
