As he boasted about his power, I carefully assessed my options to attack.

I still wasn’t sure how much electricity he could generate,so getting too close could be lethal. I decided to use my scatterbeam, narrowing the attack radius for maximum damage.

Stepping back, I kept my distance, knowing I was already in his range when he shattered the tile beneath me earlier to display his strength. Fortunately, my scatterbeam had a longer range than any shotgun ever created.

I fired four shots in the blink of an eye—one aimed directly at him, two to his sides, and one above him, ensuring he couldn’t dodge them all.

But he didn’t even flinch. My lasers vanished into thin air, and the static charge in the air grew stronger—he had converted the energy into raw charge!

“So that’s all you’ve got?” he sneered.

I remained silent. A chilling thought crept into my mind: Can he manipulate my armor and weapons too?

“Alright, my turn. Let’s end this.” His voice turned cold and dark as he uttered, “Vaporizing Aura.”

Electric cracks formed around him, creating an aura roughly a meter wide. The electric jolts were so intense I could hear them. But what terrified me the most was that the floor beneath him disintegrated into pure charge, and he hovered above the ground, flying on energy alone.

“You may have realized by now,” he continued, “anything within this radius converts to charge and spreads evenly in the air, fueling me.”

As he spoke, I noticed a fly fall, dead from the shock—but it did not vaporise. Maybe his power only works on non-living things, I thought. That made sense; otherwise, he’d be unstoppable—almost like a god.

My armor had shock absorption capabilities, but if I entered his radius, it would be vaporized in an instant. I holstered my shotgun and braced myself for defense.

“I can’t die. Not now. I have to save everyone!”

He dashed toward me at lightning speed, and I barely managed to evade his aura.

(Mr. Electron’s thoughts)

I swear his hand was inside my aura for a split second. How is his armor still intact?

His expression shifted, a lot more serious now. He realized something wasn’t going as planned.

He charged at me again, even faster this time. Thankfully, I had already activated my power mode. Due to the abundance of charge in the air, my energy regenerator was working overtime, extending my power mode’s duration far beyond normal.

I sidestepped his attack completely.

“What? You’re faster now? Were you holding back too? Fine. Let me show you my wrath.”

His power surged, and the charge in the air intensified. His veins pulsed with electricity, as though his blood had been replaced with it.

He dashed at me again, landing several punches. Each strike sent a shock through my armor, even though it was built to resist electric attacks.

Suddenly, he stepped back. “Your armor… it’s alive. How is that possible? Why won’t it vaporize?”

I was perplexed, unable to understand his words.

His aura diminished, and with a smirk, he called out, “Special attack—Artificial Sun!”

He gathered materials from the environment, forming them into a massive concentrated sphere. Electricity surged into it, and it began to heat up, glowing red-hot.
