"I'm going to need you to explain it to me..... As though I was a child because - What - How - What the fuck do you mean you let Jewel stay behind?!"

Jeongguk glares intensively at the metal table, not looking at Dr. Hoseok's heaving stare moving between Jeongguk and Taehyung - trying to understand why the two are here now without Jimin.

Currently they're at a hidden base of operations within Mount Everest. The island was not their only location, of course S.H.F would have more bases scattered around the planet. The main reason they came here is because this base is underground, making it difficult for anyone to find, especially if it's within the mountain.

Despite this mountain being known for tourist attraction, someone from the Beta team managed to conceal the entrance to the base with their abilities in order to keep it hidden.

Only those with the chip can detect it, and have access inside.

At the moment, the heads of the facility with Taehyung and Jeongguk are in a meeting room, discussing the situation that just occurred.

Not too long ago, Taehyung finished explaining the situation to both heads of S.H.F - more multiple times actually - but Hoseok clearly was not processing the information well. He refused to accept that Jimin turned his back on them, and followed blindly behind the people who only appeared like his people - who are actually the ones who annihilated them.

None of it made sense to him.

Jewel didn't make sense to him.

"Sir, I explained best I could-"

"I know," Hoseok huffs and rises from the table, rubbing his chin, "It doesn't make sense. Assuming Jimin has this strong connection with the Earth, wouldn't he be able to tell his people apart?"

"Well, he think we his people when we first met him. But he noticed we weren't-"

"Exactly! Jimin isn't so emotional. He is smart and practical. He isn't a naïve little child who needs to be told the difference between a rock and diamonds. He would've been able to tell them apart."

"Well, he didn't-"

Namjoon sighs heavily and pushes himself off the wall that his back was leaning against, "We're just asking the wrong person," And he looks to Jeongguk, "Doc, care to express your thoughts?"

All eyes falls to Jeongguk, despite his gaze lost to the memory of the events that had happened in the past few days. He has ran circles over this situation, and it all leads back to those blazing eyes he saw before Jimin catapulted them to the helicopter.

None of this made sense, as Hoseok has stated.

Jimn wouldn't do this to them, but Jeongguk also knows how much his people meant to him.

He would believe any illusion as long as it meant he was with them again.

He would go to past to save them if he could.

They're all he knows, so of course he'd choose them over him and Taehyung.

But.... Right now he's being deceived.

And he needs to know the truth - No, he needs to realize the truth.

"I've studied Jimin since the day he woke up," Jeongguk begins, grinding his teeth together as he recalls the very first day Jimin openned his eyes, "I've analyzed everything about him. There's nothing he can do that I don't know what his every intended thought is behind it," He continues to say, stepping closer to the table, his frown deep, "I was too hard on him. Especially during this crucial time of his life. With that being said, I don't want to give up. He needs us, more than he thinks he does."
