Soooo...... Hi :)
There's a saying in Taehyung's planet upon the passing of a warrior: The energy of a soul is a gift of the sun's flare. When the flame reaches its end, setting in the horizon to become guardians of the moon in the dimness of the night.
The soul never dies, only moves onto a different purpose when theirs with the body is completed.
Either being defenders of the day, or guardians of the night.
Whether that was true or false is beyond Taehyung's knowledge, but it eases mourning when someone passes.
In Taehyung's life, he has experienced many losses - family, warriors, young soldiers, even his nation falling apart. But not only loses, Taehyung has experienced dying - his innocence, a childhood, a life.
They say there's various ways one could die - one from emotional attachments, and the other is from physical death.
That's why his planet relied on slicing through the sentimentality at a young age, since there's no room for emotional attachments. They kill it before it's even born, so the only true death is when the body dies.
Fufull your purpose before you move onto the next chapter.
But that doesn't mean Taehyung doesn't understand pain, he knows it well.
That's the heavy weight string that pulled him here at this very moment, by the rocks near the shore, where Jimin sat on the cliff with his gaze focused far into the horizon of the dark night, unsure where the line divides skies and the ocean. Fireflies dance before his eyes, seeming to be trying to cheer him up in a way, but he only remains still with arms wrapped around his knees - for once, not seeming to have his guard up as he usually would despite knowing the presence behind him.
That feeling, the heaviness, is felt within the air.
So subtly Taehyung glances to Jeongguk, who only stares at Jimin with a heavy stare before slowly approaching him.
After Jimin's disappointment in practice, Hoseok was on a rampage with various factors that happened - Jimin breaking the barrier past the seas, the fact that he's missing, and how Jeongguk and Taehyung aren't even bothering to try to find him.
Jeongguk knows Jimin wouldn't go far too off, and if anyone were to find him, he'd go on his own rampage if not given space.
By the time Jeongguk returned to the lab, he managed to find a location on him, but refused to approach him. Not now at least.
Not with an audience.
That's why he waited until everyone was done with their shift, making sure to cover his tracks in keeping the recordings on the camera on loop before going with Taehyung to where Jimin was.
Now being here.
Jimin seem phased or even reacted when both men took a seat beside him by the cliff, staring out into the ocean with him in this silence filled by the waves of the sea.
Not questioning the tears sliding down his cheeks silently.
They remained in this quiet tranquility, letting it sink in this moment between them while Jimin occasionally sniffles with his blue eyes in a fog stare into a distance. He wasn't crying before but seems as though he hit a realization that he wasn't alone, which tugged a sensitive string in his body to feel.
The first time he truly let himself be vulnerable around them, his pack.
Suddenly before their eyes, a string of the ocean water rises up to them, forming what seems to be two people chasing after each other like little children. It showed them suddenly riding on dinosaurs in races, swimming in the waves, spinning each other in circles, dancing in delight while being in each other's company. The more the fragment of memories appeared, the more Jimin's tears glided down his cheeks before he closes his eyes and buries his face to his arms, letting the water fall back into the ocean.
