"Ready?" Zane asked as he stood a few feet away from Xalius, who nodded. "Begin." Zane immediately flipped backwards, landing a few feet away from where he'd originally been. Then, he ran at Xalius and leaped towards him. Xalius felt prepared this time. He'd seen Dick try it before. Zane was going to try to elude him before attacking him. Then, to his surprise, Zane straight up kneed Xalius in the forehead, knocking him to the ground in a daze. "You think your targets are the same as each other. Your enemies may be same in what they do, but they will not be the same in how they fight." Zane warned as he landed behind where Xalius had been. Xalius leisurely attempted to get up, grunting a bit. Then, Zane walked over to him in a rather rash manner before kicking him in the chest. He slid far away on the floor. "You fool. You must learn to get up quicker. Otherwise, you will be defeated as easily as a lowly shit criminal." Zane taunted. These attacks, they were so much stronger than Dick's. They dazed him a bit when they hit. "So, is this how it feels to watch me train him everyday..?" Dick whispered to Barbara as they sat on the side. "Sometimes..." Barbara responded, before turning to him, "But he always learns and gets better in these fights..." Barbara said, smiling. Then, Xalius got a hold of himself. He put his legs up in the air and leaped up using the leverage of his spine, neck and shoulders, landing on his feet. He got in a fighting stance, his arm bent in front of him as he breathed heavily. He put one of his legs forward as he squatted a bit. His other aimed the same way his pelvis did. However, his abdomen twisted a bit, allowing his torso to face forward with his head. While one arm was bent in front of his chest, his other was in front of his face.
Zane simply flicked his wrist. Or at least, that was all that Xalius felt. That is, before he felt a small object surging towards him at what seemed like the speed of a bullet. He couldn't scan over it to identify it's shape or anything. It was far too quick. By the time he'd felt it, it hit his stomach. Then, Xalius took it out, grunting a bit in pain. He glanced down at it. A Bat-a-rang. At this point, Xalius looked like a lost cause to everyone in the room. A failure. But, he realized this. That's what motivated him to try harder. He realized he wasn't even fighting a specific way. Not on the offensive or defensive. He was just waiting to be surprised over and over. Waiting for another injury to happen. "You protect your chest and face because they have your vital organs. However, you need to learn to protect those vital organs without your arms! You must use your entire body to protect your entire body! Your body is it's own shield!" He called out, before readying more bat-a-rangs. Though, this wasn't what alerted Xalius of what Zane was about to do. No, it was Zane's words that alerted him. Thus, Xalius immediately flipped sideways. Bat-a-rangs which would have temporarily paralyzed his arms flew past him. "Very good. You use my words against me. However, in the field, you must sense what your enemy is about to do by only sensing what he is about to do! No other ways!" Zane said. Then, more bat-a-rangs flew towards him in the same formation. Xalius had sensed them a bit late, but not too late. He leaned back. The bat-a-rangs flew over him. "Very good. You sensed them well. Well enough, that is." Zane said, before throwing more bat-a-rangs at him. This time, there were enough to get every limb he had. Xalius quickly sensed this, having been prepared by the previous attacks. He rolled to the right, not letting a single bat-a-rang hit him. Then, when he got up, he saw Zane running at him. He quickly ducked and rolled forward, avoiding him as he leaped up into the air and attempted to kick him. Oh wait... I can't assume he'll be the same as earlier... Every enemy isn't the same... Xalius thought to himself. Because of this, Xalius quickly bounced back onto his hands, throwing his legs back towards Zane, who'd kicked off the wall towards Xalius. Even zane hadn't predicted this. Thus, Xalius's foot rammed into Zane's head, sending him back into the wall.
This boy... I've never met someone who catches on so quick... Especially at his age... Zane thought to himself before he flipped up the wall using the rocks, grabbing onto them and pulling himself up. After, he jumped off the wall past Xalius, who ran at him, leaping up and attempting to kick him. Then, Zane caught his ankle and swung him over his head, slamming him down on the ground before releasing him and flipping backwards, landing a few feet away from him. He's so quick... Much quicker than father was when I faced him... Xalius thought to himself as he used his arms to push himself onto the floor, flipping into the air and landing on his feet before turning around. "You became arrogant and attempted to throw an extremely self-exposing move to an enemy whom you thought was weaker than you because you landed one well-timed move. Becoming arrogant is becoming shabby. If you are arrogant, you will never save this city." Zane said before running up, leaping in the air and throwing a kick identical to the one which Xalius had thrown previously. It was obvious that Zane was testing him to see if he could do the same thing that Zane had. He immediately remembered how Zane had moved his leg to the right place at the right time, allowing him to slam Xalius down as if he were weightless. Xalius quickly moved his leg, attempting to clone the slam which Zane had done. He grabbed Zane's ankle and began swinging him over his head. Then, he remembered what had happened the last time he'd tried something similar to this with Nightwing. He used his other hand to grab Zane's ankle as he attempted to kick Xalius in the head. Then, he slammed Zane down on the floor. Then, blades protruded from both of Zane's boots, cutting Xalius's arms a bit before he released Zane. Zane put his arms back and swung his legs back, pushing off the floor as the blades slipped back into his boots. Then, he landed with his back to Xalius who was running at him. He swung his arm back, hitting Xalius in the head and knocking him back. He took the momentum and used it to flip backwards onto his hands before pushing himself into the air and backwards, landing on his feet carefully.
