"Aargh!" Roy screamed.

"Oh, did I forget that this would be painful?" I said.

I'm not that sadistic.

Using the spell that Rose taught me, I realigned the shattered fragments in Roy's broken thigh.

"Whatever voodoo crap you're doing, make it quick." Roy hissed through his teeth.

"Roy, this takes proper alignment." I patronized in a childish voice.

"Ass." Roy hissed again.

I heard another crack as the bone pieced itself together.

He automatically sat up and squeaked.

I held back a snicker.

"Why are you doing this?" Roy asked.

"Because we need you." I said as I attached the last fragment. "Stand up."

I put his arm around my neck as he limped around, and then started to walk around independently.

"How does it feel?" I asked.

"Fine. Thanks."

Kori came in.

"How are you doing, Roy?" Kori asked and leaned over him.

"Hunky dory, sweetheart." Roy winked.

She laughed.

"Roy Harper, you are an idiot." she smiled.

"Touche, babe."

I rolled my eyes.

I heard the loud sounds of the chopper flying over the thick greenery of Kotoro forest.

When the pilot saw the pentagram, he said,

"This is the farthest i'm taking you,"

"Good."

We unexpectedly jumped out as Kori came out of nowhere and caught Roy, while I activated my jetpack.

We slowly landed on the pentagram.

"What do we do now?" Roy said as he put his blue cap back on.

"I need to put shields around you guys so you don't burn." I said as subtle red shields molded the shape of their bodies.

"Your sending us to hell?" Roy asked, a little apprehensive.

"No, its the Abyss. Its in between the surface and Hell itself." I said and loaded my guns.

"Oh," his voice sounded a little calmer, but I heard his heart race.

I touched my hand to the center of the pentagram.

Mine glowed orange and the pentagram on the floor started to glow too.

It was in a flash and we were in the Abyss.

Rose? I asked gently.

Jason? Are you here? I can communicate clearly with you now. Her voice croaked.

Yes. I'm coming, babe. Hold on now.

No! Jason! Please don't! She'll devour you! Please don't!

Rose.....I love you. I can't live without you. I need you, and I will do whatever to get you out of there.......I love you.

I promise i'll see you soon.

Her communications cut off.

I felt a motion behind me. I turned around and swiftly shot the spawn behind Roy.

Roy's arrow made a thwip sound as the demon dispersed.

I barged into the building killing anything in my way. I reached Rose's cell and kicked down the door.

"Rose!" I yelled.

I reached her and cradled her carefully in my arms. I slowly pushed the hair out of her face, and she slowly stirred.

"Jason?" she asked.

"Rose. Its me, love." I said.

Her eyes slowly opened and she kissed me. I kissed her back, yearning for the touch of her lips to be on.mine.

She started to cry.

"Oh Jason. I've missed you. The things she does to.me......" She whispered.

"You're okay, Rose. As long.as i've got you, she won't lay a finger in you." I looked at Kori and Roy. "Star, Arsenal, cover me." I said.

They nodded and headed out first.

When we reached the portal, Bloody Mary stopped in front.

"Do you think you can escape that easily?" she said.

"Yes...." Rose said. "Starfire, Roy, close your eyes." They didn't question and covered their eyes.

Rose slowly rolled out of my arms and her eyes turned pure black.

The true demon.

Bloody Mary gasped.

"H-how--!!" she backed away.

" I am Satan. I have powers you don't. I am the Devil's pride......yet their worst. nightmare. I can easily destroy YOU!!"

Rose grabbed her mother's face and stared deeply into her eyes, as Bloody Mary's face turned into twisted agony. Mary let out a blood curdling scream and started to claw out her own eyes.

Then, the Abyss started swell quickly in fire. Rose fell in my arms and Starfire dragged me and Roy out of the portal.

The portal closed, and the ground rumbled and quivered.

Roy took off his hat and crossed his arms, pouting.

"This is really emasculating, eh?" Roy said.

"You know what's really emasculating? Getting killed. Get over yourself, Harper." I said as we started to get high off the ground.

He harumphed and made his lip jut out more.

Why does Roy take pride in his manliness? His manliness is compared to a thirteen year-old boy hitting puberty.
