Chapter 18: Success

Aiah's POV.

My friends are going to visit me today. Weekends kase and they want to have a group study with me para daw maka-catch up ako. I doubt that.

I know my friends well. Aside sa magdadaldalan lang kami, they also missed me so much. That goes the same.

Ngayon ay busy magprepare din si Ken sa kwarto ko para maging comfortable daw ang mga friends ko. I told her that it's not really necessary though. 

But she wants to win their hearts as well to be with me.

My friends doesn't know na kami na ni Ken.

Kaya nagpapa-ganda itong si Kennedy para daw hindi na sila magalit sa kanya.

"Ayos na ba? Or may kulang pa?" Aligagang tanong ni Ken sa akin.

"Sobra na ito, babu. Hindi naman kasi kailangan na ganito. Just be yourself and tell the truth. They will understand you." Advice ko sa girlfriend ko.

"Naka-ilang beses na ako nagkamali dahil sinaktan kita. Totally, they hate me now and forever. I don't think they will understand my side." Sagot niya at bumalik siya sa pag-aayos.

"Besides, they are your friends." Habol pa niya.

Huminga na lang ako ng malalim at pinanood kong ma-stress siya sa sarili.

I know it is cute, courting my friends as well para tanggap nila siya for me. But on the other side, nabo-bother ako.

Napatigil naman si Ken sa pag-lilinis at parang may kausap siya sa earpiece niya. Tumakbo naman siya papunta sa balcony at ako naman sumunod.

"They are here." Bulong niya.

I watched how nervous she is. Same reaction ng kinausap siya ni dad tungkol sa relationship namin.

"Hey, look at me." Hatak ko sa kanya.

I cupped her cheeks and caressed it. "I'll be with you. If hindi ka nila tanggap-"

"Please don't say that." Pigil niya sa akin.

Halatang anxious na siya. "What I'm trying to say is... their opinions are just words. They know it already na gusto natin ang isa't isa in the first place."

Ken sighed and closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of my hands on her cheeks.

"Nakasama ko rin sila ng matagal, Aiah. Kung ano yung ginawa kong pangloloko sayo, I also did that to them."

"But you didn't mean that at all. It is a plain professionalism. Tignan mo, i forgive you because I understand you." I told her with my calming voice.

"Matagal din bago mo ko patawarin."

"It is part of the process, Ken. Walang napapatawad agad-agad. Kaya leave all your worries. Just explain, be yourself, and be patient." Sagot ko sa kanya.

Tumango naman siya at hinawakan ang aking mga kamay.

"Salamat. You really know how to calm people down." She smiled at me.

"It's my special powers. Don't tell anyone." Nagtawanan kaming dalawa sa sagot ko.

Ken pressed a button in her earpiece and said "Let them in."

I smiled and kissed her sa cheeks for a good luck. I know my friends will understand us.

When my friends came, of course nagyakapan kami at may konting pag-iyakan. I know, we are OAs, it's part of our DNA. And i freaking miss them so much.

After what we did, napansin nila agad si Ken, wearing her black and white uniform suit, with an earpiece on.
