"Ew it's Autumn Fier."

"Don't get too close I hear she has diseases."

"Probably STDs."

"I always knew she was a slut."

"More like a prostitute."

"I hear she pays guys to have sex with her."

"Ugh she's disgusting"

The words flooded my head repeating over and over again.

"Autumn!" Bec yelled. "Are you getting in the car or what?" That's my older brother Bec. Lucky for him he graduated before I got to secondary school. If not I imagine he wouldn't even call me his sister. I got in the car and tried to block out all of the things people said to me over the years.

"Autumn are they bugging you again?" He asked in a strict tone.

"Bec it's fine. I'm fine." I said. I never tell him what's really going on. I've kinda locked myself away from the world. I'll be out of school in six months. I'm counting the days until my hell is over. TGIF. I won't have to be bombarded with insults tomorrow.

"So Marcy wanted to know if you would be the maid of honor at the wedding." My brother was getting married in two months and his fiancé, Marcy, and I were very close.

"Of course I will." I said enthusiastically. "I wouldn't miss your big day and now I get a front row seat." I grinned. Whenever I was with my brother I actually regained bits and pieces of my soul. I guess I wasn't entirely broken.

When we arrived back home I checked my phone and went to the fridge to get a snack but there was no food in the house...again.

"Bec I'm going shopping! We ran out of food again." I called out.

"Sorry!" Bec yelled back. I grabbed the keys and got in the car. The supermarket was a little while away from my house so I turned on the music and prepared for the thirty minute drive. About half way through I noticed a black BMW following behind me. I took the long way to make sure he was really following me. I was terrified when he turned all the ways I did. I tried losing him at a few lights but nothing worked. I parked at the supermarket and hesitated to get out of my car but there were people around and I had 999 ready to call. I quickly got out and swiftly walked to the supermarket. It was relatively small so I was worried he would follow me inside but he didn't. He waited outside for me instead. I was so scared. Bec wasn't picking up. His phone must have died. I sat behind one of the aisles and let a few tears of terror escape my eyes. I grabbed all of the things I needed and put them in a basket. The I sat down and let a sob escape my lips. A boy with curly hair brown hair and chocolate brown eyes walked over to me and kneeled down to my level.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" He said with the sweetest voice ever. I was hesitant to talk to him.

"The guy waiting outside followed me here and has been waiting there ever since I walked in the store." I said with a trembling voice.

"How long have you been here?" He asked

"About twenty minutes." I squeaked.

"Here let me pay for that." He said taking my basket and walking to the cash register. I followed him and he put his arm around me.

"What are you doing?" I asked getting a bit scared.

"Just trust me." He whispered. We walked out of the supermarket together. He held me close and I leaned my head on his shoulder. It felt so right and comfortable. Slowly the fear disappeared and it was filled with this tingly feeling that I can't explain.

"You weren't with her when she came in." The man growled.

"Yeah? How the hell would you know that? You spying on my girlfriend buddy?" The boy snapped.

Girlfriend?! What?!

"He's your boyfriend?" The man asked. All I could do is nod. "Prove it. She seems way to innocent to have her first kiss. Gonna take that away from her pal?" The boy looked stuck. He was so sweet, thinking about how this would effect me. Without hesitation I was on my toes with my hands around his neck and I smashed my lips onto his. I didn't really know how to kiss but I saw it enough times in movies and on telly to know how the basics. He kissed back and when we pulled away the man was gone and so was his car.

"Wow. I didn't want to steal your first kiss but I guess it wasn't your first." He chuckled.

"Guess again." I smiled shyly.

"Oh gosh I'm so sorry, Love." He stammered

"It was my decision and I don't regret it." I smirked.

"I couldn't even imagine what that would've been like if you had experience." He mumbled.

"What?" I asked, even though I heard what he said clearly.

"Nothing." He smiled and handed me my groceries. "Do you know who I am?"

"Am I supposed to?" I questioned.

"No it was just a question." He replied looking at the floor.

"Oh! You're Marvin! From primary school! The kid who lost 35 kilos in a month! Respect my man."

"Haha I think you have me confused with someone else." He grinned. "I'm Brad."

"Short for Bradley or just Brad?"

"Bradley." He chuckled. "I still haven't gotten your name."

"Autumn." I replied. "Need a lift? It's the least I could do."

"Only if I'm coming home with you." He winked.

"I do make a mean pizza. And by make I mean unwrap from the box and stick it in the oven." I giggled.

"Sounds delicious." He said putting his arm around me and we walked to my car. I felt that tingle again. It felt so strange and foreign to me. I'm sure he felt nothing though.
