"So what did you do serving a vampire for a year?" Hayley asked. The group of them, most of her pack and the vampires, were half watching a movie in Natania's lounge, the only place riddled with enough seating for them all.

Natania frowned at her. "Uh."

"Paced," Lily supplied. "For hours."

Natania laughed. "Yeah, that. Uh, scared some lesser vampires," she shrugged, "trained."

"Has there been a single period of your life that you weren't training?" Bran asked, pausing the movie.

Natania inclined her head at Gretchen beside her. "When we teamed up."

"Sounds boring," Hayley said.

"You have no idea," Natania agreed, nodding at Vincent. "He wouldn't let me go outside-"

"Because there were always dozens of wolves around my property," Vincent said, without looking up from his book. "And you requested that I not kill them. It took a long time for them to move on."

Natania frowned at him. "Well, you never told me that." He shrugged.

"And when she wasn't pacing, she was testing the limits of the treadmills," Lily added, with a laugh.

Natania rolled her eyes. "I'm a wolf, do you have any idea how much energy I have?"

"I know exactly how much energy you have, Wolfie," Lily purred. Natania flushed and looked away from her.

"So do I," Gretchen muttered.

Natania put an arm over her face. "Please don't." She suddenly very much did not want to be in between the two of them.

"So you are still shy." Lily snickered.

"Oh, yes," Gretchen agreed.

Lily gave Gretchen a contemplative look. "Is she still paranoid levels of gentle?"

Gretchen raised an eyebrow. "Oh, so that wasn't a 'you're a fragile human' thing. You're always like that?"

"I hate both of you."

Gretchen wrapped an arm around Natania's shoulder and kissed her cheek. "Sure you do."

Natania scowled at her. "I would rather you go back to trying to kill each other than discuss my sex life, thank you."

"Liar," Lily said. "Hey, we could bond over tormenting you."

Natania rolled her eyes. "Anyway," she glanced at Vincent, "having to call you master was probably the worst part of it all, honestly. It's creepy." It hadn't been all that bad by the end of it, but she wanted them to stop talking about her bedroom activities.

"In my day it was polite," Vincent said. "You're the only one who ever complained, or made it weird." He wrinkled his nose. "What did you tell Lily? That it was a kink thing?"

Gretchen looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "You never-"

"Absolutely not," Natania cut her off. "Just because I let you tie me up doesn't mean-" she trailed off as everyone looked at her. "Oh my god, I said that out loud."

"You did," Lily agreed.

"Dang, Nat, no wonder you don't like being an alpha," Bran said.

She put her hand over her face. "Hey Vinny, any chance you could make them all forget this conversation?"

"You did this to yourself, Wolf." He scowled. "I wish I could forget this conversation. Anyway, it's not much different than your pack calling you alpha."
