NJR's command structure isn't tight and strict. It's purely reliant and the individual soldier's thinking and actions.
Command structure is purely to give soldiers possibly better guidence, intel, or just to keep them on a leash so they won't go haywire in terms of fighting the enemy (Trust me they will not even take a prisoner if you were to meet the 1st HELLDIVER corps)
The rankings are displayed on exclusively the NJR'S gas masks, similar to squid game
