Justice or crime?? [Criminal AU]Chapter 1

The alarms went off, shutting down the shutter of the store but nothing can stop them. The dim lighting of the store cast on them lightly, enough to light their path. The black mask on the face perfectly hid all their facial features to remain unknown during their heist. It's not their first time and definitely not the last. A mocking smile was plastered on their face when the security arrived. Aou scoffed looking at his partner who was still busy picking up the stone jewellery.

Aou never understood his lover's obsession over them but he will steal each and every diamond in existence to see those big eyes sparkle. His attention shifted to the guard running after Boom and without any hesitation he lurched forward, body slamming them.

"Baby, Can you hurry up?" Aou will always be amused by how calm Boom is regardless if they were in the midst of a shoot out and in the room full of guards. Boom hummed and didn't reply, his sharp eyes already scanning the sparkling loot. With deliberate slowness, he plucked a sleek diamond-studded ring and slipped it onto his finger.

"What do you think? Too flashy?" He showed the extravagant big diamond ring sitting perfectly on his slender fingers. Aou looked at him while twisting the security's arms, hitting him elbow till unconscious.

"The only flashy thing here is your beauty, Your highness." Boom groaned, rolling his eyes before walking the other way, punching the guy with his fist wearing the now stolen ring. The guard grunted with bloody nose and fell on the ground. Aou stood up, leaving the body there and continued to pick other sets.

"What else do you need? The room will soon be fleeting with tons of guards, please be quick." Aou pleaded.

Boom strolled toward the shattered glass case, holding up two necklaces in each hand. "Dear, which one screams 'I'm a man of taste'? The emerald one or the diamond choker?"

Aou groaned, shooting a guard's taser out of his hand with a well-aimed shot. "I am the choker who makes you scream 'I'm a man of taste'."

"Emerald is it, picking your favourite, my love." Boom said decisively, ignoring how his comment made him blush and slipped the necklace into his pocket before picking up a diamond brooch.

"You are my favourite gem, my love."

He turned around with a sly smile, batting his eyelashes through the mask, at Aou, his voice teasing."If you say so, Romeo. You can be incharge for today if you get us out of here before early morning."

"Stop making me feel things, alright? We're in the middle of a heist, not a rom-com." Aou's heart thudded, even as the sirens grew louder. He shot Boom a wide grin before throwing another glass case on the boulder's head. As the body laid unconscious on the ground he scanned the area, checking if anything was left behind.

Another guard lunged at Aou, who spun around, landing a perfect kick to his chest. "Baby, if you're done accessorizing, maybe help me out here?"

Boom smirked, finally pulling out his compact crossbow and shooting a bolt that knocked a guard's weapon to the floor. "See? I'm helping. You are such a nag."

"You're in so much trouble tonight," Aou muttered, disarming another guard with a quick move.

"If you're the said trouble, I will gladly be in you." Boom replied smoothly, examining his nails as the last guard groaned on the floor. He gazed at his boyfriend fondly as the room fell silent, giving the lover's time to come closer, who were quietly enjoying teasing each other over the robbery.

Boom turned to Aou, still with that amused, almost giddy expression, his hand resting on his pocket where the stolen treasures were tucked away. "You know, darling," he said, slowly striding toward the exit, "I think I may have gotten carried away with the accessories."
