"Alright guys, training's over for today!" Fukuro, our squad leader, yelled at us.

"Thank god, that obstacle course made me exhausted!" Daisuke moaned and stretched out his back.

"The PFT is what kills me..." I moaned and sunk onto my knees.

"We ran so much today..." Yohei whimpered.

"Oh, come on, ladies!" Karasu stood over us proudly. "That wasn't even the worse we had! That was too easy!" He pranced proudly around us, and showed off his intense muscles, and as a bonus, included push-ups and sit-ups.

"Yeah, whatever, we know you're the strongest person in the military, blah blah blah..." Daisuke said while Karasu gave him a cold look. "Let's get some grub!" Daisuke sprang to his feet and helped Yohei and me up.

"The cafeteria is serving roast chicken today. I've heard from the other recruits that it's pretty amazing." Yohei's mouth watered.

We all hurried to the cafeteria before Yohei drowned us in his drool. Daisuke, Karasu, and Yohei are my closest friends. We joined the military the same year, and have helped each other survive and increase through the ranks. We share the same barracks room too.

"Wow, it is pretty good!" I yelled in satisfactory. Daisuke, Yohei and Karasu nodded in agreement.

"Hey, did you guys read the newspaper this morning?" Daisuke took a large bite out of his chicken. "Some scientists believe that there's a large sum of gold and other jewels dug deep somewhere in Heiwa."

Heiwa was the name of the planet that we lived in since humans depleted Earth's natural resources and relocated here. Little did the humans know that they had smacked down in the middle of the war between earth's mythological species. How the species got here is still a mystery. Once I turned 18, I was forced to enlist to help fight this stupid war, along with every other male who turns 18.

"How do they know that?" I inquired.

"Some scientists were comparing the soil from our territory and the demon's territory. They found out that the soils both have trace amounts of copper, and seldom have gold and silver. That would mean that there was a large sum of minerals underground that could stretch along the human, and demon territory, not to mention if the other territories have the same traces of jewels in their soil. As long as we keep digging, we could find it, hopefully before the other species realize it."

We conquered the demon territory almost a year ago now. It was actually an accident that we control the demon territory now. Orignially, I wanted to get information on my parents from Izanagi, the demon king, but that all changed when he tried to kill me to get information from my parents. He captured my parents and used fake corpses when he sent goblins to burn down my home village when I was a little boy. Well, I found out that I was this some sort of weapon called the "Knight of the Galaxy" that's prophecized to save the failing human race at some point. Although, I still have doubts that I am the KG even though my parents have strong beliefs that I am it. Only them, Daisuke, and Izanagi know about me, and I'd like to keep it that way. The general of the army, Attakai, found my location and officially entitled the demon territory to us. With that, Izanagi fled and there's been no word of him since. It all seemed so distant now. It's been almost a year since I joined the military.

"Bah! It's just a stupid rumor! People love making up stuff like that to entertain and keep other's occupied." Karasu leaned back in his seat.

"Yeah, but what if it is true?" Daisuke continued. "We could use those as bribery, blackmail, and make new weapons and tons of them!"

"I never knew how scary you were, Daisuke..." Yohei cowered in his seat.

"Yeah, this belligerent attitude doesn't suit you." I said coldly, and took another satisfying bite of my roast chicken.
