That night's silence was louder than expected.
There were no stars, no moon, just a cloudy dark sky.
It still looked magical yet in a totally different sense.
The inside of the palace did not seem to be affected. Since the shiney golden ceilings were as bright as ever.
Yet in the darker side of the same palace were grey stone walls that allowed cold in, no fire could warm those frozen little bodies if winter was to come.
One familiar door. Of that same room. The one Ida once lived inside.
The small window was useless for her escape.
The black haired lady had no choice but to think of another way.
While walking around in circles, biting on her little fingers, it caused them to bleed yet she did not seem to care about that at all, since her mind was concerned about bigger things.
She suddenly heard a knocking on her door.
Her heart dropped. She could almost lose her sight to the darkness.
She then walked closer towards the door, her shaking voice asked,
"Yes?"
The guard, who was standing on the other side of the door, replied,
"It's time, am here to fetch you"
She knew very well what he meant. How could she ever forget?
When presented to the king, he specifically picked her.
She could still remember the terrifying look he had on his eyes. The disgusting feeling she got when his hand brushed over her face.
And how her whole body trumbled in fear.
"I am getting ready, I'll come out in a second"
She quickly replied, while looking around.
Since she was already dressed in a beautiful red dress. A very lovely set of golden jewelry that she could have never dreamed of.
She could not think of anything other than running away.
While her eyes scanned the room. Her eyes met the metal fork that came with her food plate.
Without any further thinking, she grabbed it as fast as she could.
Only a moment later, she came out of the room. And obediently walked behind the guard who was guiding her towards the king's chamber.
Standing in front of that huge door, where two guards who stood by allowed her in immediately.
The king was standing beside the bed, glaring at his prey.
Once the door behind her got closed, it felt like she could pass out at any moment.
"Come here"
Those little two words did cause her whole body to shake in fear.
Yet she obediently walked towards him.
The fork was in her right hand that she hid behind her back.
She waited patiently for her moment.
Once she stood close enough, she saw his hand slowly moving towards her neck.
The moment Leo's hand touched her skin was the one that he got his hand stabbed with a fork.
His blood drops stained the white bedsheets.
