CLAIRE'S POV
I woke up to the crisp, cold air of spring nipping at my nose.
I sat up in bed, and began streaching my arms before finally getting up.
I walked over to my little nightstand which had a mirror, a hair brush, and some rubberbands to braid my hair.
After I did my daily morning necesscites; I made my way outside and towards Sam.
Sam looked up at me from the paper he was analyzing. He smiled warmly at me, "how are you this fine morning?"
"I am doing quite well actually." I stated with a smile on my face.
Sam stood up and clapped his hands together, "I have matters to attend to else where. You can come with me, or you can stay here. What are you wanting to do?"
I was still exhausted from the battle and the long ride over here. So I really just wanted to take a walk through the forest and explore.
"You know Sam, as much fun as riding for hours on end sounds.... I think that I'll just stay her and explore the forest."
He smiled at my answer, "okay then, suit yourself." He said before walking off in the opposite direction.
'Okay Claire, time to get some clarity.' I thought to myself before walking off in the direction of the woods.
-IN THE WOODS-
'Congragulations Claire! You're offically lost!' sarcastically remarking at myself.
I was in the woods alone, nervous, and my personal favorite lost.
I don't know what happened. I mean one moment I was walking, the camp still in sight. Then, bam! I find myself lost in the woods.
I didn't know what to do so I just kept walking towards nothing.
Finally, I found a nice rock and just sat on it in defeat. The Sun was already beginning to disappear ending the day and bring night time closer.
I sat there with my head resting on my knees, and tears coming down my face in a slow motion.
CRUNCH. I looked up when I heard the sounds of boots making their way towards me. "Sam? Is that you?" I questioned. I recieved no reply but another CRUNCH.
"Sam if that's you this is seriously not funny!" I yelled tears running down my face in fear.
CRUNCH. CRUNCH. CRUNCH.
I wanted to yell for help, but I found my voice had went with my courage.
I froze when I saw a young man with a coat covering his mouth make his way out of the woods and over to me.
I backed up until my back hit a tree, stopping me from moving any farther.
"W-w-what d-d-do y-y-you w-w-want?" I stutteredHe came closer to where our faces were only centimeters apart. I turned my head away from his stare. Not wanting to look into his eyes.
He reached his hand out turning my face to where I was facing him. He tilted my chin up; forcing me to look into his eyes. My eyes widened as I looked into his blue orbs. Only one person I know has those eyes.
"William?" I questioned in disbelief
He didn't answer, but took off the cloth that covered his mouth.
"Hi Claire." He smiled warmly at me.
I couldn't speak. Instead, I ran into his open arms. Tears ran down my face as I hugged him. He rested his head ontop of mine.
I pulled away a little so I could look him in the eyes and ask, "I thought you were dead?"
"I was, and I still am in the earthly world. I live in a different life, with Jesus Christ. In Heaven." He said while pointing up to the sky.
"Then what are you doing here? Not that I'm complaining or anything." I questioned him
"Claire. This is going to sound kind of crazy, but I'm y-...."
"Your my what, William?!" I questioned him nervously
"I'm your guardian angel."
