Aubrey's POV-

When I came home from the hospital the second I walked in I thought to myself, wow I would've never pictured myself walking into my new home injured, not my house, my home, I knew this place was where I belonged.

Besides my injury, everything was pretty good. I knew I would grow to love many things about Arizona. I walked up the stairs and in to my room with some assistance from my mom. I was so happy to have all this space, my new room was nearly triple the size of my old one, not to mention I used to live in a petite apartment so everything about this house was extremely spacious.

I looked around my room at all the boxes I had to unpack and noticed small note sitting on one.
"Hey mom, what's that piece of paper over there (pointing to the box it had been on)."

She examined it for a brief second then handed it to me, "one of the boys you were with at the park last night left that laying next to your bed in the hospital".

I opened up the note:
"I'm terribly sorry for letting you get hurt, if you want to talk to me here's my number........ -Eliot".

This means he actually cared. I was a bit surprised but mostly happy about it. I tucked it in my pocket and started to unpack. My mom offered to help but I was content with unpacking by myself.

The only thing I had trouble with was hanging up my posters so I left those for later. Aside from that my room looked more than decent. Now being finished, I had some time on my hands. I was incapable of going anywhere besides the bathroom or my kitchen.

Then I thought of Eliot and remembered I now have his number. I took the note out of my pocket and began to dial his number.

Eliot's POV-

Hanging out with Drew all day would take my mind off of her right? Nope, wrong. All I could think about was her falling. Drew was wondering why I had barely been eating but I couldn't shake this feeling.

Finally, at around 2pm my phone started buzzing in my pocket. I grabbed it to see an unfamiliar number calling me. I answered in confusion to whomever it may be.

"Uhm" I cleared my throat "Hello?"

"Hi, this is Eliot, corret?"

I recognized the voice immediately, it was Aubrey. Her voice still sounded great on the phone and even better she sounded happy.

"Y-Yeah, it's Eliot" I stuttered in shock that she actually called me. "You're home, right?"

"Yeah, they released me this morning, I found the note you left me so I thought I'd give you a call".

"Oh, cool. I thought you dad would see it and throw it out or something. How are you?"

"Oh about my dad, he didn't come to Arizona with me and I'm feeling much better from last night. Boy those painkillers do wonders."

I heard her voice drop a little so I didn't ask her about why her dad didn't come with even though I was curious.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that but im glad you're feeling better.

"Ye-" she was interrupted by someone, "What" she yelled, "Sorry Eliot but my mom needs me to help her with something, I'll call you later tonight."

"It's okay, bye"

"Bye"
