Chapter 2

It was the next day and my mom had already left for work. My house was pretty quiet. It was just me and my mom but my mom is a nurse so she's always working. Basically it's just me. I finally got myself out of bed and hopped into the shower. After that I blow dried my hair, did my make up and got dressed. I decided on wearing my green day shirt, black shorts and my all black converse. I heard a car horn coming from outside and I saw that it was my boyfriend braedon picking me up for school. Braedon was in a band with some of his friends and he was actually a really good singer. Braedon and I are like the power couple. Everyone wishes they were us. I walked out the door and met braedon at his car.
"Hey babe, you look hot today" he said as he kissed me on the cheek
I smiled and got into his car.
The car ride was pretty quiet except for the fact that we were blasting green day In the car. Green day was braedon and i's favourite band. We had a lot in common musically but everything else was just different.
We arrived at school and I said goodbye to braedon because he was a year older than me and already in university.
I was at my locker when I was faced with the last person I wanted to see. Calum.
"Hey. Just a reminder. Because who doesn't need reminders? Am I right?" He laughed nervously.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT CALUM?!? I thought I told you to never speak to me in public??!?"
"Okay I'm sorry! I just wanted to remind you that we have tutoring today after school."
"Okay whatever!!" I yelled and with that I walked away as quickly as I could.
I was met with my squad in homeroom.
"Hey! Why were you talking to that loser?" Said one of My friends as she looked towards Calum's direction.
"I wasn't talking to him. What are you talking about??" I said and continued in listening to the lesson.

After school I didn't feel like going to tutoring so I just ditched. I called Braedon and asked him to pick me up. He said he had band practice but it was okay that I was there.
We drove to band practice which was at his friend Travis' house. When we got there they were already getting set up.
"Hey guys!" Said braedon as we walked in.
"HI KAYLEE!!!" Yelled Travis as I ran up to hug him.
Travis and I were best friends since we were little. He was actually the one that set me and Braedon up. I knew about braedon through Travis because they were friends and when Braedon and I met it was like love at first sight!
When their band practice ended I was exhausted and just wanted to go home so Travis offered to drive me home.
"I never see you anymore! What's up?"
"Well..I'm off the cheersquad.."
"WHAT?!? But you've been a cheerleader for as long as I could remember!"
"I know but my grades aren't too good so I got kicked off. In fact I was supposed to go to tutoring today but I didn't feel like it."
"Kaylee! You need to get your grades up! You should've went instead of hanging out with us losers." He laughed.
"But my tutor is Calum Hood it's so embarrassing."
"You should still go."
Maybe Travis was right. I should've went today. But I need this to be a secret. Nobody can know about this.
